Skype a Great Service at a Reasonable Price

The quality of the calls is exceptional, the best I've ever heard using a voice over ip system (VOIP). But the affordability isn't the big thing that attracts me to Skype . It is the fact I can put on a headset with a mic and volume control and make my calls.

Oro Valley Dog Attends Open House

The dog shown to the right attended an open house in Oro Valley this past weekend. Yes, it was his house. The significant thing is that during this open house the dog engaged in a game of scrabble and a discussion of the Tucson Real Estate Market. He starred on a short video about scrabble.

I was taking pictures in the Naranja City Site a couple of months back when someone told me about a stork or crane that came almost every night to the pond. Pond? there's a pond! Well not much of one, but there is a dam. So why not make it bigger and build a reservoir.

Oro Valley Big Dig

I drive by the Oro Valley Big Dig everyday. It is located between Lambert Lane and Naranja on La Canada up the hill from the new Ace Hardware store. Today it took an interesting turn. The equipment at the bottom of the pond was surrounded by water and it was getting deeper. Do you think they broke a water pipeline or have they hit the Oro Valley Water table?

I stopped by the Oro Valley Farmer's Market last Saturday. It really is the time of year for the market to thrive. There is lots of fresh produce this time of year to make the displays bright with color. The smells of fresh roasted everything fill the air as much as the smells of baked breads and brewed coffees.

The third annual Oro Valley Holiday Parade is this Saturday December 8, 2007. The parade starts at 10 am. It begins at Ironwood Ridge High School on Naranja and finishes at City Hall. There will be some famous personalities in the parade. Santa Claus being the most recognized and Dan Marries of KOLD New 13 will serve as emcee.

This is the second annual Oro Valley Book Festival . It is shaping up to be a "Rock'in" event Saturday morning. It is a FREE event starting at 9 a.m. going to 3 p.m. This event is totally going to Rock. There were approximately 3,000 people here last year for the first event.
