Home loan application protection starting in July 30
2009-07-22 04:14:00 A new set of consumer-protection rules take effect July 30, including requiring lenders to provide consumers with initial disclosures of the estimated mortgage costs within three business days of the loan application; prohibiting lenders from collecting any fees prior to the consumer receiving the loan-cost disclosures; and prohibiting quickie closings on loans. Traditionally, many mortgage brokers and lenders collected fees covering appraisal, credit, and other charges at the time of application. Property Assessments
2009-06-11 18:14:00 As consumers, buyers, sellers, and renters, If I were you, I'd check out this article. Starting July 2, California homeowners who believe the current market value of the home you live in is less than its assessed value from the city assessor can ask for a re-assessment.
