Vote For Radu
2007-02-28 08:52:05 Vote For Radu No, I am not running for public office of any kind. This Vote for Radu campaign is just a cheesy marketing ploy to drive some more traffic to my website. I have joined a blog list called, conveniently enough, Blog Top List. Aside from the other blog lists that just rank your website by the amount of visitors you get, Blog Top List goes a step further and takes into consideration how many people / visitors vote for a website. Therefore, visitors to my blog as well as other blogs on Blog Top List have the option of voting for the site in question and this will help the web site move up in the Blog Top List. So, aside from just general traffic, the more votes a site gets, the better it will do in the ranking. So, if you find my website useful or you just enjoy stopping by, I urge you to Vote For Me . It?s Gon? Rain - Blaccuweather Forecast
2007-02-28 08:52:05 It’s Gon’ Rain - Blaccuweather Fore cast Well, It seems today’s weather calls for “Lil Snow Flurries!” in Toronto according to Blaccuweather-Man Ollie Williams, Channel 5 weatherman from the hit TV Show Family Guy. This fun website, Blaccuweather.com, has been started as a Fan Website for the Family Guy show. It is not affiliated with Family Guy or Fox TV. It was built simply by a fan of the show, using real-time weather data from Yahoo! Weather . And, according to the weather forecast, you get a Quick Snippet of Brilliance from Ollie Williams. “It’s Gon’ Rain”, “It’s Rainin’ Sideways”, etc. You can also search the website and get local forecasts either using Local US ZIP codes, or going by International Codes. Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Part 4
2007-02-28 08:52:05 Mortgage Financing : Mini Series - Part 4 In Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Part 1, we looked at Credit Bureaus. In Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Par 2, we looked at Mortgage Terminology. In Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Part 3, we explored Pre-Payment options the benefit of reducing your Mortgage burden quicker. Part 4 will deal with Pay Off Faster Strategies. Mortgage Pay Off Faster Strategies As the name implies, these strategies are aimed at paying off your mortgage faster. Although amortization is always based on 25 years, it is very beneficial to pay off a mortgage faster. For one thing, paying off your mortgage means you literally own your home or property quicker and thus are no longer liable to the bank. If you are able to lock-in a good interest rate, it is also better if you pay your mortgage off faster since you are taking advantage of a good rate and you will not be forced to renew at a less favourable rate. And, of course you can save thousands of dollars in ... More About: Mortgage
bla.st your website
2007-02-28 08:52:05 bla.st your website I’ve recently come across a new website called bla.st thanks in part to a recent article by John Chow. bla.st is a new website similar to the Million Dollar Home Page where anyone can upload a “card” and link it to their website. You can upload your very own card for free or you can pay a per day fee and have your card better positioned in the list of cards. Say for example that you want your card on the top / main page, as of this writing, it only costs $0.02 / day to get it there. However, there are many people who are paying that. So, for a little more money, say $0.10 / day, your card will shoot up in the ranks. The highest paid position is displayed at the very top and the website lets you know what it costs to get there. Today’s top position cost $3.60 / day and it went to Alex Shalman Dot Com. Here is a look at what my card looks like. Once the paypal payment goes through, I hope to hit the main page! Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Part 3
2007-02-24 20:49:01 Mortgage Financing : Mini Series - Part 3 In Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Part 1, we looked at Credit Bureaus. In Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Par 2, we looked at Mortgage Terminology. Part 3 will deal with Pre-Payment options and is the first part of reducing your Mortgage burden quicker. Part 4 will deal with Pay Off Faster Strategies. Pre-Payment Conventional repayment of a mortgage involves the repayment of P&I (Principal & Interest). At the beginning of the repayment schedule, most of the payment goes towards the interest portion. As your mortgage repayment evolves, more and more of the amount will eventually go towards the principal. When you prepay according to set guidelines, your extra payments will be able to go towards the principal directly, thus skipping many normal payments, and saving you potentially thousands of dollars in interest down the road. Pre-Payment Options Increasing the frequency of payments: By increasing the frequency of payments, yo... More About: Mortgage
New Widget: Meebo - Chat Live with Radu
2007-02-23 08:48:01 New Widget : Meebo - Chat Live with Radu Well, I recently came across a nifty little widget called Meebo Me that allows live chatting between two or more people. It is like any Instant Messaging (IM) software except you can embed it in your website. The widget, located on the left hand side just under my Menu Options, allows anyone to Chat Live with Radu as long as I am online. So feel free to send me a quick blurb or IM asking questions about Toronto Real Estate or any other topic. Perhaps just pop-in and say hello. Send a Rant. Write a complain. Anything goes as long as I am online and available to chat. I urge all bloggers to give this widget a try. You can easily add it to any blog platform as it is a simple Embedded Flash application. Once you install it, you just have to login to Meebo and chat with your visitors. Furthermore, inside Meebo, you can chat on any IM platform you like. This is a neat app for anyone who wants more contact with their visitors. There are of course a ... More About: With , Hat
Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Part 2
2007-02-23 08:48:01 Mortgage Financing : Mini Series - Part 2 In Part 1 of Mortgage Financing, we looked at Credit Bureaus and what they are. Part 2 of Mortgage Financing: Mini Series will deal with some Mortgage Terminology. Mortgage Terminology Agreement of Purchase and Sale: Sometimes referred to as an Offer to Purchase, this is essentially the contract between Buyer & Seller that sets out the agreed upon price of the purchase / sale of the home as well as the conditions of the sale. Mortgage Lenders need a copy of this document in order to provide a final mortgage. This document assures them precisely the amount of money they will lend to a buyer. Amortization Period: This is the length of time over which the loan is to be repaid. In Canada, for a typical new mortgage, it is 25 years. Appraised Value: This is an estimate of the market value of a property. In some cases, Mortgage Lenders will send an appraiser to evaluate the price of the property in order for them to lend the mortgage. It is... More About: Mortgage
Mortgage Financing: Mini Series - Part 1
More articles from this author:2007-02-23 08:48:01 Mortgage Financing : Mini Series - Part 1 Credit Bureaus Love it or hate it, the Canadian financial system, as well as most of the First World’s works on credit. Banks lend to customers and business, to each other, to governments, etc. Governments lend to banks, to businesses and to other governments. In fact, everyone lends money to everyone else. The deposits you make at a bank are in turn lent to others for which you are paid interest. It is impossible for the economy to work without credit (or lending). A large part of the credit / lending systems is made up of home mortgages. For most people, it is impossible to buy a home without a mortgage. Not many of us have $200,000 - $400,000 lying around in the bank in order to buy a home using cash. We therefore go to the bank in order to get approved for a mortgage. However, in order to get a mortgage, the bank will first check our credit rating to see whether we qualify for a mortgage. So, what is a Credit Rating? And what are C...
