Venu Tampa Condos
2007-05-25 15:53:00
The eight-story Mercantile Bank Plaza building, at one of downtown Tampa ’s most heavily traveled intersections, appears out of place among the office towers that have risen around it over the last three decades. That’s subject to change, possibly in the latter half of this year. The building’s owner, Gibraltar Development Corp., has notified its few remaining tenants that they should move out this summer and it isn’t signing any new leases in the 43-year-old building at the southwest corner of Ashley Drive and Kennedy Boulevard. Office brokers had been signing tenants to short-term leases there since the building changed hands last year. Gibraltar, based in Clearwater, plans to build a 50-story residential condominium tower called Venu on the building’s small corner lot. The ultramodern skyscraper designed by Alfonso Architects Inc. will contain 215 units priced from the $400,000 range to more than $3 million each. Although completion of Venu was previo...
Channelside Developers Scrap Over Plan
2007-05-24 16:25:00
Two developers are at odds over their condominium projects. Fida Sirdar will ask the city council on Thursday for zoning approval for his third Channel District project, a 38-story condo tower at Kennedy Boulevard and Meridian Avenue. But at a May 16 community meeting, Miami developer Juan Porro said Sirdar’s unnamed project would block some views at his eight-story, retail-condo complex, The Slade, which will wrap around Meridian near Kennedy and Washington Street. A fuming Porro, who arrived midmeeting from a flight, said he was waiting to see plans provided by Sirdar to determine how his soon-to-be-built Slade would be affected. Read article by Janis D. Froelich, The Tampa Tribune

Island View’s Rock & Roll Connection
2007-05-22 13:58:00
Triangle Development Company, builder of the Island View Condominiums in Downtown Clearwater, Florida, presents the Jim Morrison Home Legacy Series. This very limited series of specially commissioned paintings commemorating Jim Morrison of the Doors uses for its “canvas” authenticated doors taken from one of Morrison’s boyhood homes that was located on the current site of the Island View Condominium project. Carefully dismantling the home, Triangle Development preserved the doors and other artifacts to memorialize the late singer-songwriter while benefiting worthwhile charitable organizations both locally and internationally. The collection includes 67 pieces in all, mainly doors and windows, from the home of Paul and Caroline Morrison, Jim Morrison’s grandparents, formerly of 314 N. Osceola Avenue, Clearwater, Florida. Jim lived there as a baby from 1944 – 1947, and as a teenager from 1961 – 1963 while attending St. Petersburg Junior College.

Buy a Beazer Townhome: Receive a Rolex Watch
2007-04-11 06:42:00
That is right.  If our clients buy a Beazer home between April 9th to the 30th, they will give us a brand new Role x watch.  As Beazer Home s stated, they’ll do whatever it takes to make a sale.  They have inventory homes ready at the prices buyers need.  Plus, they’ll pay all allowable closing costs.  Some of their communities include Hampton Lakes Town homes, Sawgrass Village Townhome s and Seminole Isle Waterfront Condos and Townhomes.  By the way, if our clients do end up buying a Beazer Home, we feel that they should get the brand new Rolex watch and not us, the Buyer Agent.  There are many hidden incentives and it should go back to the buyer as part of seller’s marketing is sometimes built in to the cost of the home anyway.  We believe it is time to turn over a new leaf in the way you buy and sell condos in Tampa Bay.  Contact us for more details.
