Basically we can look forward to an upturn in 2009 where real disposable and real income will grow, along with positive job growth. George Fulton, a University of Michigan economist, discussed the Michigan and National economy on video on March 20, 2007. You can view his comments here. If the forecast is accurate, then in 2009 auto manufacturing will employ less than one half of the workers as it did in 2002. Health Services continue to hire locally. 2007-10-17 23:34:00 Kathy Toth & Team Takes a Field Trip to the MGM Grand DetroitWe escaped from Ann Arbor and took a break from selling real estate. We had a team meeting at MGM Grand Detroit. I was allowed to steal away for a hot stone massage with Rob that was delightful. Nancy Milam tried out her luck with "the Wheel of Fortune" and struck gold. So she wants to return weekly. We did indulge in a fantastic buffet at Palette Dining Studio. Next time we go, we'll get to sample from the other hot restaurants. But the most productive part of our Ann Arbor Real Estate meeting was playing black jack. We figure it's just about the same odds as finding a buyer in Michigan. We collected our winnings and strategized how to return to the meeting center soon. And just before we left, we snuck into Accents and Essentials, located just inside the all new MGM Grand Detroit.
