The Prophet himself has recorded (ref. Tirmidhi) to have said the following about seeing him in dream: "He who sees my hilye (description) after me, it is as if he had actually seen me, and he who sees it out of love and desire for me, God will forbid the fire of Hell to touch him. 1.The Quran indicates one should 'enter houses by their doors' (2:189). The door of the Quran is the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace, not only because he was the one through whom the Divine Revelation was transmitted to the rest of humanity, but also because he is the one whom God invested with the most knowledge concering the different levels of significance and meaning inherent in the Quran.The door to the Prophet is love. What is this ?emptiness? that some religious teachings indicate to be a desirable human state? Does it mean that one should empty himself or herself of every inner thought and perception, to reduce the person, body, mind and spirit, to absolute nothingness?
