emotional complexities of inheritance
2009-10-19 17:57:00
Mon 19: The Jan Moir palaver made me dig out some reference material on same sex relationships that I had written about in an issue of Floreo NEWS. Except, annoyingly, all the links have gone. The gist of that scientific research (which I can?t remember much about now) was that species become same sex (as ...

reliving the past
2009-10-18 20:57:00
Sun 18: The long haul to the West Country on Friday got off to a lousy start with a four car pile up at the Tangmere roundabout. I then got absolutely awful cramps in first my left foot and then the right one, meaning I had to keep stopping so I didn’t crash the car. Putting the heater on, arrow down, did the trick but it meant driving with the window open so I didn’t fall asleep and also crash the car. Mark you, driving past Aylesbeare definitely woke up the olfactories! Silage is never going to please my nose but this bit smelt like a particularly vile nappy. Got to BC desperate for a cup of coffee but got some grumping which thankfully did not last that long but was not the start I would have liked. Lack of adequate communication meant I did not realise the skip was now on, as was a potential buyer. However, both were welcome though it meant any clearing had to wait till the potential buyers had gone. Sorting family items means keeping emotions on hold otherwise nothing woul...

Thurs 15: Dreaming of excrement (not mine!) is a mixed blessing. It symbolises money but there is an element of ?filthy lucre? too. As indeed was the case in the dream. Not only did I step in it ? on a carpet, in a hospital (visiting someone else), but it kept appearing in different areas… ...

2009-10-14 19:49:00
Wed 14: Still aching from the drawing portraits? course yesterday. There was one point when the pain of tensed muscles was so great I nearly threw up. Needless to say, driving back was a bit of a concern as I was struggling to stay awake. But, thank God, I got back safely. Some possible good news ...

Mon 12: Much bonnier today although tensions from so many things vying for mind space: BC offer (who? is 17th still on? what about HIP? etc); meetings, courses and other externals to prepare for; faltering confidence in skills. While having great admiration for those who can draw and paint in photo-realistic style, even if I could, ...

Sun 11: The BNP doesn?t seem to understand its own agenda. They don?t want non-whites here because it would homogenise the indigenous, and they do not want minorities dictating to the ?white? majority. Yet it is currently ?white? Eastern Europeans who are doing the dictating and changing the character of the country. So why just ...

Lucky Cat Fri 9: It was drawn as an aside although I rather like the idea of attracting luck to me (and my readers) by posting it here. Despite the multitude of cartoons drawn so far, there are still LOADS more needed for both the Brick Tips motivational merchandise and Wise El?s Book of ...

..failureWed 7: Dream analysis is rarely what most books teach us, although I am a fan of Nerys Dee. Freud?s view of tunnels, for example, is entirely predictable, while Dee is more in tune with my perspective. That it relates to the subconscious. Also on the esoteric: One of my more unusual skills is being ...

reality
2009-10-06 21:18:00
and illusion Tues 6: Night-time reality crossing over into day-time reality is a mixed pleasure. On the one hand, there is a warmth and freedom, despite the nature of some dreams. On the other, recall sits in the back of one’s mind, demanding more attention. So it shall have it. For ten minutes. I don’t really recall my dreams much these days. However, last night’s dream quite clearly carried forward from two previous ones, the first of which was a few weeks ago. In that earlier dream, I had attended a course and parked my car some (walking) distance away, down a side street of a pleasant market town. A tall, rather grubby, but friendly workman came out and told me where to park so that my car (my current Honda Civic) was not damaged as they worked. I can’t be accurate but a subsequent dream related to the course or at least going to the college where it was held. Walking there was the key element. Last night’s episode started in the college car park, late in the evening, ...

spiritual paradox
2009-10-05 20:50:00
Coaching paradox Mon 5: The paradox of coaching is that, all too often, courses tend to be aimed at turning the coachee into a coach. So, generalising, someone who has taken a course because of personal issues, then sets up in business to advise and guide others. Leaving aside issues of transference, learning from someone who ...

diverting attention

Pain avoidance tactics Sun 4: Head throbbing all day but diverted by Margaret Rutherford film. In fact, so diverted I did a Wikipedia and found she and her husband had adopted a man in his twenties, who then went on to have a gender change. Nothing to grab me with that. Then I read he/she ...
survival of the weakest
2009-10-03 22:37:00
Irish backing down Sat 3: Fascination with survival of the fittest, in spiritual terms, continues because science has yet to give credence to the compassion gene, which is now wildly out of control. A quick glimpse of some headlines is proof enough. Those who care and make an effort to create harmony are regularly penalised while ...

Mon 21: Great intentions and work flow interrupted by veneer falling off tooth. It took nearly an hour of calls before I could find a dentist who would see me soon. Actually, one I saw three years ago. Very good too, local as well ? but very expensive. Still, needs must. All this physicality ? ...

illogic ageing
2009-09-20 22:05:00
Sun 20: If cells are constantly seeking expression, and life forms to subsist on, why do unwanted cells thrive on ageing human sentients? I?m specifically thinking of naevi and cancer cells ? although both do grow on younger bodies too. It just seems as if older bodies attract more growths and some superfluous-to-need yuk stuff ...

Fri 18: Ma only died in March so it?s understandable to have intermittent feelings of grief and guilt. Washing my hair this morning, it was the Christmas before her last one, driving down to pick her up, but staying with a friend the night before, that I am trying not to think of as it ...

nose and illusory nose
2009-09-17 19:08:00
Thurs 17: Strange feeling re nose, following the blister/clot the other week, meant registering with a doctor suddenly became important. There are some times when it is best to be safe than sorry. Plus the continuing dryness was also drying out my spirit. The first one I rang (yesterday), in Rustington, said I was outside their ...

Tues 15: What is truth? Wed 9: That old chestnut about being able to take as well as give is still something I try to live by. Meaning if you dish out stuff, you have to be able to handle the stuff that is dished out about you. Of course it is difficult, especially if the teabag of truth was just ...

Mercury retrograde?
2009-09-07 20:49:00
Mon 7: Is Mercury retrograde? Sat 5: Lovely sunny wedding with lovely sunny weather to match. 2009-09-02 21:54:00
Wed 2: It never ceases to astonish me what taxpayers? money is spent on. Quite apart from ridiculously greedy expense claims by far too many people supposedly serving the public, what on earth is the point of the Child Trust Fund? existential issue
2009-08-30 20:51:00
Sun 30: It never ceases to amaze me how insurance companies fail to reward loyal clients who do not claim. Tesco Home Insurance chose to do it by increasing my premium substantially, forcing me to check for a better deal… which I found from eHome, the same group that insures my car. And I saved £117. Actually, my first choice was Privilege but it required a call to get a separate quote for working from home – and it was closed till after the Bank Holiday. Trouble is needing a policy is no respecter of holidays. Also a drawback: using comparison sites means that, despite ticking various boxes, one always gets bombarded with emails – and with Privilege, it was impossible to unsubscribe. Not the relaxing spiritual Sunday morning I prefer, but at least it is done and dusted for another year. Later: lack of sleep last night, partly my fault not helped by others’ EMFs, had me snoozing on and off, semi watching the idiot box. I think it might also be an existential issue. Des...
