2009-07-19 09:49:00 Sun 19: Near miss with car. Was wearing FitFlops and walking quite quickly. As I stepped off the pavement about to cross the road, the tip of the FitFlop launched me forward, but instead of regaining my footing, I seemed to bend and roll into a ball, and continue rolling ? right into the middle ... 2009-07-18 22:28:00 Sat 18: Is Matt Taibbi right about Goldman Sachs? Greed is a terrible thing. It creates such disharmony. But to purposely manipulate international finances for personal (ie their corporate) benefit is appalling. Perhaps my bit of the Almighty thought this was an idea worth following up, as there was a link to Ayn Rand in Google ... More About: Creed

2009-07-17 19:33:00 Fri 17: Estate issues are still causing problems. Trust and high-handedness do not make comfortable bedfellows. Indeed, it was because of the potential for bad feeling that I always put everything in writing, and told all what I was doing and what I did so there was no confusion. The same code of conduct is not ... More About: Issues

2009-07-16 19:31:00 Thurs 16: God knows what sank Atlantis. With England it will be the weight of concrete ? concrete houses, concrete roads and the concrete brains of those in power. I don?t know whether to laugh or cry. Meanwhile, New Scientist opines that there is an artistic gene linked to psychosis and schizophrenia which also influences ... More About: Media , Integrity
surviving through others
2009-07-15 21:45:00 Wed 15: Survival of the fittest is a core belief for atheists. But when survival for some depends on the compassion of others, then a different factor comes into play. How many would survive without a benefits infrastructure for example? Or for our current open door to all and sundry? Alan Johnson, the new Home Secretary ...

2009-07-14 21:51:00 Tues 14: A topic that needs repetition… The virtues of giving, sharing and thankfulness remain worthy spiritual ideals. The more pragmatic truth though is that there continue to be vast swathes of humankind giving nothing, yet milking the system for their selfish needs, with nary a hint of embarrassment. Those of us who provide the backbone ... More About: Life

2009-07-13 23:12:00 Mon 13: My well-earned rest for a very busy day was spoiled by a reminder of the ghastly C, who sent me a wedding list but just an invitation to her evening party. Stupid me bought something nice (ie not cheap), drove two hours to get there, and the mean creature couldn?t even be bothered ... More About: Wedding , Manners

2009-07-12 23:03:00 Sun 12: Read something about Leibniz early this morning. My mind then jumped to wanting all my God books together. (There was a logical association!) Thinking it would be an easy swap with my art books, I made a start on returning from the newsagents and having a quick breakfast. Several hours later, with around 3,000 ... More About: Books

2009-07-11 17:16:00 Fri 10: Criticism of Michael Jackson is unlikely to ever end. Innocence is viewed through subjective lens at the best of times. That aside, his changing physiognomy will forever signal that he was on a different wavelength to the rest of us. But the key issue is surely ?the rest of us?. Or rather his ... 2009-07-09 20:11:00 Thurs 9: More interruptions to scheduled tasks,, dropping off the laptops and printers for recycling. 2009-07-08 19:22:00 Wed 8: It?s one of life?s curiosities that I was born on Groundhog Day. I seem to endure repeats on many levels ? including why write a blog or indeed why anyone would read it. Well, to repeat myself (again!), I write it because it is a diary of my spiritual journey. I suppose people ...

2009-07-07 23:39:00 Tues 7: Somewhat ghoulishly, I ?enjoy? funerals. That sense of the soul returning home is so strong, I almost feel jealous. It helps of course if the service is of the spiritual contemplative variety, with sacred music. (A friend had Dancing Queen as part of hers, which I found rather shocking.) So it was a given ... 2009-07-05 22:50:00 Sun 5: Spent virtually the entire day catching up with something that does not usually take up much mind space - conspiracy theories. 2009-07-02 23:54:00 Thurs 2: Wow! Great clip of Michael Jackson. I could certainly feel the suppressed energy and there was no way he looked frail and underweight. If anything, he looked more ?manly?, albeit with his odd face. So it definitely puts the lie to the mass of misinformation around, especially the Halperin biography, it seems. Funnily ...
loving small children
2009-07-01 21:07:00 Wed 1: There is an age range in very small children when they have one tiny foot in heaven and one on earth. To me, they seem aware of their spiritual essence. 2009-06-30 19:34:00 Tues 30: I prefer to draw loosely, without measuring up or using grids. The more relaxed and unthinking I am, the better the results, hence not liking to use aids, although I do have them. However, I really am struggling to draw P. At least from the photo her mother sent. It’s quite a small jpeg for a start and the tones make her look like an older version of herself. Not what I want, let alone her mother. Looking for help, I had a practice with a lightbox - and it makes her look even older. Sigh. Even using a grid has created a totally inaccurate representation, unlike my first freehand drawing. I am reasonably sure it is because it means I have to stop and think, instead of just allowing. However, I will get a true likeness. Meanwhile, I so love the warmth. Just less keen on oppressive heat and all those horrible sentients which take over the house. There are moths and daddy longlegs everywhere.(That was last night. This morning, there were dead bodies everywhere as their time ...

2009-06-26 00:44:00 Thurs 25: Bombs and snakes aren?t good dream material. But they do make memorable dreams.
