Talking With Jesus: "Learning the Truth"
2008-01-07 17:21:00 M: You say that I am perfect. Why doesn’t God show me my perfection? J: I have shown you, yet you refuse me why would you accept God? God does not teach simply because there is no reason to teach what has been learned. M: I would accept God because God is a Higher Authority. J: This is certainly true if you believed it. However, you have always relied on your “self” as higher authority. You conduct your life based on this and it has resulted in suffering. You will never become what you desire since your desires have no premise from which to build upon. The premise from which to conduct your life has always been unknown to you. Yet, you have conjured up a complex "science of mind" to teach you how to live even though this science cannot with any degree of accuracy, define what you are to begin with. Instead, it chooses to define you by what you DO. This is absurd because if you do not know what you ARE, what you DO must demonstrate that ignorance. Is there any wonder ... The Miracle of Compassion
2008-01-04 18:18:00 True compassion comes from Spiritual Sight, but does not require that you be “spiritual.” It simply emphasizes the part of your mind that is deeply AWARE of your perfection. Essentially, "compassion" is a momentary remembering of YOUR perfection to the exclusion of ALL else. The “act” of compassion is not important. What really matters is from what part of the mind it originates. Since compassion is a thought that is completely different from ALL other thoughts you THINK, it therefore has the unique capacity to alter the world you PERCEIVE as real. It does this by demonstrating that only YOU are real. Any planned act of compassion means that an “ego” is directing it. The EGO requires that you acknowledge only IT and this negates your perfection, which you will ONLY perceive by acknowledging perfection in another. Compassion allows for this shift in perception. Compassionate acts are always subsequent to the thought and need not be consciously recognized by either the ... More About: Miracle
True Forgiveness Means It Never Happened
2007-12-30 19:41:00 This new year let’s go beyond the world’s concept of “forgiveness” and share in the resolution of True Forgiveness . You have been taught that forgiveness is a gesture of compassion that brings a sense of "peace" to those who "trespass" against you.Unfortunately, the world’s “forgiveness” does not convey innocence, but only reinforces guilt. The very fact that you can choose to “forgive” my sins, simply reinforces a world where "sin" is possible. When you grant me forgiveness, you still maintain my indictment deep within the recesses of your mind. Your eyes continue to see guilt, although you may not speak it. You will “forgive,” but how can you forget and why should you? This keeps us both fixated on our separation and that is the immense canyon that can never be bridged as long as any part of the world is guilty. God does not define guilt, you do. TRUE FORGIVENESS True Forgiveness asserts that it never happened. There is no need to forgive since you ...
Talking With Jesus: "Degrees of Separation"
2007-12-30 16:28:00 M: Right now I am sick with flu and I am not feeling particularly motivated to pursue any change whatsoever. How do I break free of this “fixation,” as you refer to it, on the body. J: Simply realize in every experience, that it is not what you want and choose differently. However, allow me to provide the choices. I have knowledge, you only perceive. My answers are always available, are easy to understand and can be applied effortlessly. In this sense, you virtually have happiness at your "finger tips," yet you refuse your inheritance through your belief in delusion. You were created to be joyful, yet you consistently choose suffering. Nothing you "see" with your "eyes" is real. Therefore, you should begin to withhold investment. Physical illness is indicative of mental illness. Mental illness speaks to your deep sense of guilt over what you have made of yourself. You have no idea of what you are, but you are consistently haunted by what you are NOT. In such a state of mind ... More About: Jesus , Separation , Talking , Degrees
Why Choose to Suffer?
2007-12-28 18:39:00 Suffering is a state of mind that evolves from choice. But then, if a child lives with pain, does the child choose to suffer?Children experience pain, but they are taught "suffering." This is equivalent to teaching children how to hate. They know nothing about suffering or hate until we teach them. Children can live in absolute squalor and deprivation and still not suffer.Suffering is different from pain. Pain is of the body, suffering is exclusive to mind. If you refuse to accept your pain then you must suffer. However, you may choose to avoid suffering and live in acceptance of your pain. There are many who live in extreme physical deprivation and pain, yet still refuse to suffer. Viktor Frankl endured many years in concentration camps and made the choice to find and embrace meaning (and joy from that meaning) thereby greatly reducing his suffering. You may choose to suffer for many reasons (there are many "degrees" to suffering), but you cannot escape the fact that you ha... Talking With Jesus: "Seeing Beyond Body"
2007-12-26 18:15:00 M: In our last discussion you explained that I am not a body and this is why I cannot know or extend love. Are you saying that I must know myself as mind only? J: Contrary to what you believe, your thoughts define everything. Therefore, your world and everything experienced is a product of your thinking. Your concept of "manifestation" is nothing but an erroneous state of mind. You believe in separate “bodies” and this is only because the mind requires separation and demands that everything you see conform to that belief. The reliability of your delusion is indicative of the power of belief. However, although what you believe is highly reliable, it is entirely false.Every tiny fragment of your reality conforms to your belief in separation and the world you made was given no other purpose. However, although this was your intended purpose, I teach an alternative. In a world of opposites, there must always be an alternative. You believe the body teaches you of your world and in... Talking With Jesus: "Love Without Condition"
2007-12-20 21:11:00 M: You seem to be saying that there is no love in the world? J: Since you have no knowledge of love then your world must reflect this absence and this is your experience. However, your beliefs of love are many and all are based in fear. Your chaotic relationships are testament to your ignorance, but they do reveal your attachment to delusional beliefs. You believe love demands that you "sacrifice" and sacrifice means that in giving, something must be lost. Keep in mind that the “self” or ego that you worship as you, is defined by having and not by what it gives. To give is to have and any distinction other then this, denies your Being. However, you feel that you do give and often you experience pleasure in that extension. But notice that underlying your belief in giving is your “law of reciprocity.” This law demands that to give, something must be received. Thus, you will always give reluctantly. You attempt to emulate those who you believe have made the ultimate sacri... More About: Jesus , Love , Talking , Condition
The Goal of Perfect Peace
2007-12-16 23:54:00 Christmas can be a confusing holiday because of the various perspectives or paradigms which seem to compete for attention. You can see it from a Christian perspective that emphasizes the teachings of Jesus. However, you may experience conflict due to disagreement with all the different interpretations available (I sure do). You could come from a "western" perspective, yet this too is wrought with conflict, as you feel obligated to conform to holiday rituals, even though you feel they are empty of meaning. Christmas trees, useless gifts and inflatable lawn ornaments tend to become rather inane and ridiculous after awhile and the obligatory family appearances can often become exhausting. If you combine the two, as I have previously attempted, then there is no denying conflict as one model promotes God, while the other blatantly ignores and even debases that concept. I recommend that you simply come from the Goal of Perfect Peace and base your perspective of Christmas on nothing e... More About: The Goal
Talking With Jesus: "Normalizing Fear"
More articles from this author:2007-12-12 16:05:00 M: I still have difficulties with anger. How should I alleviate anger? J: Anger is a merely a symptom of your disease. You could easily alleviate anger.Nevertheless, you will simply manifest substitute symptoms. Anytime you do not experience peace, recognize that you are sick. The slightest worry or agitation must be seen as a symptom of a much deeper affliction. Your disease is fear and, essentially, it is your only affliction. Do not normalize fear, for in so doing you normalize your disease. This can only normalize your separation. Do not become transfixed by the symptoms, but simply ask yourself what you fear. However, I recommend that you ask this of me and I will immediately assist you in locating the cure by demonstrating how you have created the symptoms. Attempting to locate the cause of anger will always lead you on a “wild goose chase” since you have manufactured a million justifications to normalize your symptoms. Most of your justifications are based on the... More About: Jesus , Fear , Talking 1, 2 |
