Allegories & parables which point to spiritual deliverance
2007-12-18 20:20:00 An allegory is a story that has two levels of meaning: the obvious, literal one and an underlying symbolic, figurative meaning. Both levels are important, but those with wisdom are able to see what is presented and hear the message. Why did Jesus use them? In Matthew 13, the disciples asked this same question of Jesus in verse 10. He answered, “The knowledge of the secrets of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. This is why I speak in parables, ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand’” (Mat. 13:11,13).The literal story of Abraham tells of the 'chosen race' oppressed and in slavery to an evil ruler in a foreign country (a land not their own).A man with a calling is chosen by God to order the wicked Pharoah to release the Israelites (Children of God). They follow Moses through the desert of Sin (Ex 17:1), on their way "up" to the promised Land (The Kingdom of Heaven). Unfortunately, half-way there, they start to rebel agains... Melchizedek - First of the indestructible ones
2007-11-25 19:18:00 Recently while going through Hebrews, I started taking a closer look at this person Melchizedek. He is called the king of (Jeru)-Salem and priest of God most high Heb 7:1This great high priest is linked to the Christ, however, in Heb 7:1 it says that he met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. The chapter goes into greater detail about the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder. How is it possible for Jesus, the Christ to have received physical gifts from Abraham, the patriarch from the Old Testament. In Genesis 17:1-5, we learn that Abraham's former name before God changed it, was Abram.Melchidezek brought out bread and wine after Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him. He then blesses Abram who gives him a tenth of everything. Some interesting things about prayer
2007-10-04 11:21:00 In case you were wondering, prayer is something that has to be done daily in the Christian life. There can be no other way around it and it is the gateway to the spiritual life. With the commencement of the prayer life, your experience a spiritual re-birth and so are born again(of your spirit). When your prayer life dries up your spirit becomes dormant after a short space of time. You cannot stay born-again if you quit the spiritual life. It is especially imperative to understand why prayer must be done nightly. Each time a man goes to sleep, he enters the spiritual realm. He is no longer in flesh, but in spirit. Because of the dangers which lurk in the spiritual realm, it is vital that he enter with a prayer covering that requests protection and healing/deliverance. We must pray daily because each night we enter the spiritual realm and need God's protection. Why would you want to protect yourself on one occasion and not another. You have to understand also that your prayers do... More About: Interesting , Prayer , Things

Passivity of the Will
2007-10-02 21:27:00 The will is the helm, so to speak, of our lives. Passivity of the will originates from a wrong concept of what full surrender to God means. When a believer thinks that a surrendered will to God means no use of the will at all, then he ceases to choose, determine, and act on his own volition. The serious effect of this, is that the powers of darkness do not allow him to discover his state, for at first the consequences are trivial and hardly noticeable. In fact, at first, it may appear to be most glorifying to God. The strong willed person suddenly becomes passively yielding. He thinks that God is “will-ing” for him in circumstances and through people, and so he becomes passively helpless in action. After a time, no choice can be gotten from him in matters of daily life, no decision or initiative in matters demanding action. He is afraid to express a wish, much less a decision. Others must choose, act, lead, and decide while the person drifts as a cork upon the waters. As the we...

Total onslaught against the ministry
2007-09-30 20:49:00 In earlier postings I mentioned the ongoing Satanic warfare against the saints who are entrusted with the knowledge of salvation. Some of these people are not even close to being in the ministry, yet are so chronically ill and depressed that there is virtually no hope of them reaching their potential. The have no idea who they are or why they are on earth. They have fallen asleep in Christ. Many of them feel suicidal and because they feel lost and without purpose there is a huge tendancy for these people to seek relief from the gnawing inner pain, by indulging in drugs, alcohol and other sinful activities which allow evil spirits to lead them further and further away from God. Ironically these are the very people who God has created since the beginning to shepherd his flock and establish through them, ministries of POWER. If these people are handled correctly with practical truths, it is highly likely that they will rise to the challenge of achieving spiritual liberation. In fact t... Regeneration of the Soul

This marriage is made perfect by the will of the father. Now it is right that the soul be regenerated and be as she formerly was. The soul stirred. her divine nature and her rejuvenation came from her father so she might return to where she was before. This is the resurrection from the dead. This is ransom from captivity. A Closer look at Passivity I
2007-09-25 20:57:00 God requires intelligent actionEvil spirits attempt to obtain a passive slave, or a captive to their will. God desires a regenerated man who actively and willingly chooses to do his will, with a spirit, soul and body liberated from slavery. The powers of darkness seek to make a man into a tool, a machine, a robot; the God of holiness and love desires to make him a free, intelligent sovereign in his own sphere - a thinking, rational, logical, reasoning, renewed creation. Unlike evil spirits which seek non-activity in their captives, God asks for intelligent action and cooperation with him through "your reasonable service", Romans 12:1-2. God requires that believers stop sinful activities which "permit" evil spirits to gain a deeper hold on the souls of men they hold captive.Surrender or Passivity? There are some Christians who use the word "surrender" and think they are surrendered to fully carry out the will of God but are so only in sentiment and purpose. Dangers of Passivity
2007-09-21 17:43:00 Christians are as open to deception by evil spirits as other people. In my opinion possibly more so in some cases because they can have an attitude of infallibility bordering on arrogance. In the majority of cases they have unknowingly fulfilled the conditions upon which evil spirits work. They "give ground" to deceiving spirits by accepting counterfeits of divine workings and cultivating passivity and non-use of their faculties through a misconception of the spiritual laws that govern the Christian life. The matter of "giving ground"is the most crucial point of all to understand. All believers acknowledge known sin-even unknown sin in their lives, as ground given to the Enemy. They do not realize, however, that every thought suggested to the mind by wicked spirits, and then accepted, is ground given to them. They also do not realize that every unused faculty invites their attempted use of it. Evil spirits seek to enslave the wills of men.Surrendered believers become deceived through... More About: Passi

Why a living hope is a more powerful motivator for than a dead hope.
2007-09-20 08:30:00 Have you ever wondered about the things that really motivate you? Perhaps you are motivated solely by money, but maybe you are someone who has come to the full realization that no amount of “things” has ever brought lasting happiness into your life. Plenty of diligent and sincere churchgoers have been robbed of a potentially robust and rooted faith, by the perpetuation of an obvious untruth. Possibly one of the world's greatest. That lie is based on a widely held belief that there is only one life and entrance to heaven can only be achieved upon death as a reward for faith in Christ. How can you expect the strength of faith necessary to propel your spirit heavenward, if your hope is diluted by uncertainty. Think about this and ask yourself this question. What things spurred my life as calls to action? Was I ever motivated by the prospect of lifelong suffering for something that I had no way of proving was real? Would it not be a greater motivator if you knew something was ac... More About: Living , Hope , Dead

The Naivety and Ignorance of Youth.
2007-09-19 14:57:00 When I was at school, religion was drummed into me by repetition. I went to an Anglican college where daily services were mandatory, except for Saturdays and Tuesdays.Only geeks and goody-goody's attended voluntary services and I was far to cool for that.Although I never felt close to God at the time, there was certainly a tremendous atmosphere in our large but stark Byzantine-styled chapel. Huge domed ceilings, thick columns and a massively reverberating organ all contributed to heighten the sense of grandeur and ceremony. I knew there was a God, even then. Somehow it was inextricably linked to my religious routine.I used to love singing psalms and hymns with my fellow classmates, especially psalm no. 150, which used to make me break out in goose bumps. Evensong was a particularly enjoyable event, as some of us used to arrive at school early in order to sneak in a few beers in at the local pub.To me this was as good as belting out those corny songs one tends to sings at beer fest... The children are utterly lacking
2007-09-16 17:57:00 God's got all the good things. What can he possibly have that he doesn't already have, or is the source of? He is always in the land of milk and honey! If you are already in paradise, how does it get better? However there is something that he doesn't have much of and that is human fellowship. He has legions of angels for company, but the human spirits he fashioned from the light are few and far between. They are all abroad and have almost forgotten they ever had a father. It must be what parents have to go through when their kids emigrate and that parent knows the new country of domicile is not quite what it's cracked up to be. You keep sending family over to remind the kids how much easier life is at home, but the little 'uns think that these family members are lunatics. How do you alert your kids to the fact that the "land of plenty" is actually killing them? Sometimes you can't, you just have to sit by and watch your kids suffer. Also, how are you supposed to be able to he... More About: Children

I might not be able to answer your questions, but perhaps I might be able to give you a different view, or shed some light on things that you are finding difficult to deal with.I have walked a very painful walk and having come from the brink of death, I know how tough it can be. I also feel that the severity of chronic illness can cause people to move into a state of fear-induced limbo, where they are battling to decide what steps to take. The enemy will do anything to divert you from taking the steps you need to allow God into your life and work in you. Your WILL to do what will really help you is weakened. Also, Satan works to sow confusion, negativity and doubt in your life. Taking small steps... How we are being destroyed by our dreams – Understanding “wiles”
2007-09-11 21:12:00 Due to human ignorance and apathy, the Destroyer is reaping his end-time harvest by stealth in the spiritual realm. He is able to get away with it because believers are absolutely terrified to deal with this aspect of Christianity. It's awful to see just how powerless the church has become through the perpetuation of distorted truths. Do you think Christ would have had an understanding of the spiritual “mechanics” employed by Satan and his demons in the spiritual realm? Somehow I think that it would have been a core element of his teaching. Anyone who overcomes the forces of Hell, has to have an intimate knowledge of these forces and how they attack and besiege souls. There is no escaping the fact that the church is in paralysis and in dire need of this knowledge. There are a number of dream types, by which Satan deceives and I will look at each one very briefly and how they blend into each other through sequencing to form a “bind”. A “bind” is a ring, or wrap made of... More About: Dreams , Understanding
Detecting your adversary - Understanding how evil spirits wage their warfar
2007-09-09 21:52:00 Although I have talked very briefly on a few of issues, I feel that I have skipped around a bit and not gone into much depth at all. There are things that I have alluded to, but my aim was first to provide you with some background from the book, ”Secrets of Spiritual Warfare”.Eventually there will be a list of articles in the archive, which you can refer to for specific topics. Also, I have quite a few diagrams which I would like to paste up on this blog, to give people more understanding of what I am talking about. Nothing like a picture to stay in your mind. The main thing I want to talk about now, is how to go about detecting your enemy and learning a little bit more about his weapons. The bible calls these methods “wiles” and a wile is very simply defined as a method by which Satan deceives. He has many wiles, at his disposal, but the ones that are really causing major casualties amongst Christians, are the wiles that he employs in the spiritual realm. It is in the spir... It's easy to stop sinning if you are able to see the consequence in the spi
2007-09-09 13:23:00 I have discussed this with a few Christians and the general consensus seems to be that the fallen nature is something which has become ingrained in our biological makeup. I feel very strongly that we are erroneously looking at sin as something which we just have to accept as being part of our humanity. This is totally untrue and we must face the consequences of our own actions. What I'd like to bring to people's attention, is that constant engagement is sinful activities is much more to do with the fact that we do not see the direct results of a sin on our spirits. This is where the problem lies. Let me explain myself better; God created the universe and set it in motion through the establishment of divine laws. These laws govern the harmonious operation of all “things”. The laws are invisible. We can't see them directly, but we can see what results if we don't obey them. Let's take gravity as a good example. If you don't believe in the law of gravity, then try runnin... More About: Stop , Easy , Consequence , The Con
Mistaken ideas of spiritual truth
2007-09-09 08:08:00 These centre around the following thoughts:1. God can do everything. If I trust him, he must protect me. This shows a lack of understanding that God works according to laws and conditions. Those who trust him seek to know the conditions upon which he can work in response to that trust. 2. If I were wrong, God would not use me.If a man is right in his will, God will use him to the fullest extent possible. This being “used” of God, however, is no guarantee that any man is absolutely right in all that he says or does. 3. I have no sin, or sin has entirely removed. This statement indicates a lack of knowledge about the sinful nature. Evey soul is in bondage, due to the effects of sinning. “There is nobody who is righteous, not even one”The assumption that sin has been eliminated from the whole being, actually enables the Enemy to keep Christians from dealing directly with the fallen nature.4. God, who is love, will not allow me to be deceived. This thought is ... More About: Ideas , Truth , Spiritual , Mista , Ruth
We should keep our minds open to spiritual truth and enlightenment at all t
2007-09-07 08:44:00 It is especially important that believers keep an open mind to new knowledge. You can't simply ignore something because it pushes you out of your comfort zone. Much of the time, believers are doggedly hanging onto rigid church-induced mindsets. Growth is unpleasant because there is discomfort involved and we don't like to admit that we were wrong about something. It is crucial for believers also to understand that they should have the discernment necessary to distinguish between contrary powers. Many are simply surrendering their wills to the powers of the unseen world and are therefore at risk because they fail to take into account that there are other powers in the spiritual realm. Blind obedience to the spirit of God has also resulted in the complete destruction of many of God's children because it allows deceiving spirits to gain a foothold It would be wise for believers to be careful with certain scriptural passages which at first glance seem to imply passive obedience. Why you are at risk
2007-09-05 22:21:00 In her book, “War on the Saints”, Jessie Penn-Lewis looks at some of the dangers facing the church in these times. Although I am going to add my own experience later, I sincerely feel that believers need to take a good look at the background theory which has inspired me and provided a priceless foundation to my own deliverance walk. She states that “In the special onslaught of the deceiver, which will come upon the true church of Christ at the close of the age, there are some who will be attacked by the powers of darkness more than others. These believers need spiritual wisdom and insight regarding the Enemy's deceptive workings”. She goes further to point out that “There are degrees of growth among Christians. Therefore, there are degrees of testing permitted by God, who provides a way of escape for those who know their need and who, through watchful prayer, take heed lest they fall. (See 1 Corinthians 10:12-13.) God is the sovereign Lord of the universe and he limit... More About: Risk
Was Paul undergoing deliverance?
2007-09-04 09:58:00 The NT scriptures allude to Paul being a prisoner during phases of his Christian life. Although he certainly was put behind bars for disturbing the peace in many of the places he preached, there is more to the word prisoner than first meets the eye.In the scriptures there is mention of Paul having an illness. (Gal 4:13)There is also a passage in the NT, which speaks of Epaphroditus having an illness, which almost killed him (Philip 2:27)If you believe the truth of Christ's mission, which was to heal every known illness and disease, then you will also understand that evil spirits are responsible for almost all the chronic illnesses we have today. By setting free the captives, Christ was able liberate those in bondage and so, cleanse "sin" from the body of sufferers. It's far likelier that the suffering experienced by Paul during the "prison years" in Ephesus was more to do with the fact that he was fighting a spiritual battle with faith, patience and endurance, than him being physi... Holiness through Sanctification II – To Shine like Stars
More articles from this author:2007-09-02 15:57:00 The purpose of each Christian is to become purged from sin spiritually. The saints, are simply those people who have become sanctified by the work of Espiritu Sanctus (The Holy spirit) Once Christ became Sanctified, he could sanctify others and in the process, make them Holy also. Christ was known as the Sanctifier, in that by “Laying on of hands” he could wipe the sins from others and so make them holy. Remember that he carried our sins and took up our infirmities. Although men's sins were atoned for symbolically by his death on the cross, Christ's most important function was to set people free from Satan's kingdom manifesting inside people, which was the result of their sin. Now, let's look at the word holy. The word originates from the Anglo Saxon Ha-lig (which is Germanic). The word means “wholeness of light”. Again we are told, the father is holy...in him there is no darkness. The father is indeed perfect and incorruptible light and he fashioned us into living spi...
