No other instrument in the world compares to the harp, one of the most oldest musical instruments in world history. Its ancestry can be traced to the bow, one of the most ancient of weapons which can produce a pleasant, ringing sound by the pluck of the string. An early hunter must have been inspired by the sound the bow makes when an arrow is shot from it. While experimenting with the bow, he gathered a few additional strings and put them on the bow's framework. Then, he plucked them and found that the short string can create a much higher pitch than the longer string. The longer strings create deep pitched sounds, the shorter strings create high pitched sounds. Purussaurus: A Croc out of a cartoon!

Not dinosaur related but worth noting -- When I first look at the photographs of this giant Miocene croc, I could've sworn it must've walked straight out of a cartoon. This is Purussaurus, a monster alligatoroid that lived in what is now Brazil during the Upper Miocene epoch. Estimated to about 12 to 15m long, this croc probably preyed on so many large mammals that dared to approach its watery domain for a drink. Read more about this cartoonsh caiman here.

Instead, the official deadline for signatures added to my petition is February 28th. Just a few days ago, National Geographic has just announced the discovery of a Psittacosaurus with fossilized skin tissue containing a flesh wound on it. The skin is said to be very flexible in life and bears large layers of special collagen fibers on the skin's surface and dermis right underneath it. But what really bothers me about the report is that according to the article, this discovery suggests that some dinosaurs had really thick, scaly skin. Remember last night I told you about Alexa and how I was having a bit of a trouble trying to increase my Alexa rank on this site. Guess what? My Alexa rank is now 3,287,901. Much better than my previous rank, huh? There is also a better option on Alexa where if you're unable to put in your information and have your site be verified through Alexa's Site Information Editor, you can instead put in links related to your site and type in your email address and away you go. I've tried it and now I'm getting a much better rank than the previous rank of 10 million plus I used to have. Isn't that great?

I've tried verifying this site, but I wasn't able to because it requires an email address it's not possible to make on Blogger and I'm unable to load up a .txt file to this site.
