1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?Well good morning dear friends, I believe that you might have thought that I have fallen off the face of the earth. I took a vacation with my wife and child since we had spring break together. As I stated in my last post last Monday I would write to you when I returned about the adventures that we had. On Monday I traveled to my parents house in Alabama to visit with them and other family members. My daughter enjoyed it greatly as she was able to see her uncle and cousins, while visiting with my brother she was able to ride on a bulldozer while he was clearing land for his church building! She was all smiles as she though that was the coolest thing in the world! Then we had a couple of good days of fellowship, then it was time to get back home for Wednesday night services at Calvary Baptist! Well this Sunday was another excellent Sunday as God blesse...

Psa 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.Good morning dear friends, I hope and pray that your weekend was good and that all services were God glorifying! We had a good time in Jr Church again and wee blessed with 24 young children in there. We have been walking from the outskirts of Jerusalem into the city as we make our way scripturally to the cross by Resurrection Sunday! I don't know why I found this verse but I guess it's what the Lord put on my heart to encourage us with today! There are of course some days that the battle can get a little frustrating and sometimes it looks as though we are going to fall back, but as the Lord says be of good courage because we must never forget the victory is already won! Good morning again and praise God for another wonderful day. We had a great time at church last night, and afterwards we had some more wonderful fellowship! You might ask what in the world were you doing at church on a Thursday night? Well friends whenever those doors are open, if I am not providentially hindered then you’ll find me among God’s people in God’s house! We were going through a visitation training class that the Pastor is teaching so that we may better glorify our Savior by being prepared whenever we may come across folks during our visitation time, or if were just out and about on our own! It is such an encouragement to know that our Lord and Savior waits with open arms at everything in our life, and that He also gives opportunities for all people in life. Last night we had our Tuesday night services at the nursing home as we are allowed this ministry by the grace of God, and before things were started the Pastor shared with us that one of our charter members of our church has passed on to be with the Lord. I personally never had the opportunity to meet this lady, however from the testimonies of the few that were in attendance at the nursing home she was a wonderful person. What makes it better though is she was saved, so there is no reason to fear of her soul, but to rejoice as the Bible says..to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! Good afternoon dear friends, I find myself posting a little later today than normal because I was just restless from sleep last night and when I awoke I had appointments to get to! I know the pastor is feeling a little under the weather, and we all have been touched by the flu bug here in Tennessee within the last month and a lot of folks have been down and out , both spiritually and physically. We were so privileged to have our Missions Revival soar into the next level and the testimonies from last night were just awesome! On Friday we had Brother Alexander Spears preach, and then he had to leave because of a death in his family, however the Lord blessed us by sending Brother Mike Tabugan our way! Last night started off our missions revival and how great it was! We were able to see a good crowd in attendance and I am personally praying for that same bunch to make it again tonight plus more! We have had two missionaries arrive safely last evening and they were able to settle in before the services. What a joy it is to have them with us and prepared to share with us the burden that God has placed on their hearts. We started off the services with some excellent singing and then a special that was sang by some young ladies in the church. Well last night we began our visitation training program, it was started off well and encouraging to see people gathered together to learn how to share the gospel more effectively! The Pastor is putting this on for the next three weeks and encouraging the members of the church to attend of course so that we may break down the barriers of witnessing! If your church doesn't have a program then let me encourage you to pray first for the Lords direction, and then get with your Pastor and ask how you can help him get one started! Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Good morning friends, I have been thinking about our missions revival and am waiting patiently for it to begin. I came across this verse and the part that stood out to me the most is the phrase "why stand ye gazing"? Now this can be answered in 2 ways that could affect how we look at things today. The first is we always ought to be ready for the Lord, and like a watchman we ought to be heralding the cry of the Saviors return, now I don't know what day, time, or year that may be but if you read your Bible enough that could be any day. Good evening friends, I hope your weekend was great. We celebrated Big Heart Sunday at our church and what a great time it was. There were a few missing, but overall it went very well. During the evening service the Pastor preached from 1 Corinthians 13, and what a message it was! There were a lot of little things that were brought out that I never had heard before and by the grace of God I am going to try and apply them in my life. We all had a great time this weekend again working on the teens new building, glory to God we finally got it dried in enough to keep the elements out! Well today the Pastor and I went and visited with a memeber who has her granddad in the hospital and this granddad is like the only dad she ever knew, so she is very distraught at the moment and I ask that you would pray for her comfort during this time. In continuing my reading in Jeremiah we see that the prophet has come to a point and place and is allowed to reason with God on behalf of the people. After talking with God and asking why the wicked seem to prosper, and the evils they do seem to go unpunished the Lord then starts answering Jeremiah. We get to the above verse and we see that God is warning Jeremiah about the people and the priests who at this time have become wicked and deceitfully used people. The church went out on visitation last night like we do every Thursday night,however last night was probably the coldest and wettest night that we endured yet. I am happy to say though that there was no major complaining and all of us made our visits and then some! It never ceases to amaze me though that when you knock on somebodys door and offer them Jesus they have so many excuses not to listen. Most of the folks the preacher and I visited were at home snuggled up in the warmth of thier house, and either had a beer popped open, or very well could've been on some type of drugs. Jer 9:6 Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.Good morning dear friends let us look at today's verse and ask that God would allow us to see what we can glean from His Word that we may not be led astray. This verse has been on my mind for the past couple of days after reading it in my nightly devotions, and I couldn't help thinking about the consequences of it. You see the prophet Jeremiah was warning the nation of Judah about the way their religious leaders, and others were acting. I see this same thing going on today in our present world, not that this hasn't been going on for ages. You see the people were being deceived and taught wrong for the advancement of some folks over others, the priests were corrupting the priesthood, and causing the nation of Judah to sin against God. Psa 145:3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.Good afternoon friends! Whew what a busy end of the week last week and weekend that I have had! The Lord has been great and greatly to be praised as I had some wonderful help through the last couple of days from my Pastor and others. My Pastor volunteered to ride along with me to my house in South Georgia and help me to load some things and bring them back to my current house, the poor Pastor had to suffer my driving, and my babbling! The services have been awesome and we have been blessed again for the past couple of weeks. We saw another saved and we have seen others follow in obedience to believers baptism! We had such a blessed time this weekend as we gathered together to work around the house of the Lord. We have started a building project for our teenagers so that we can have more room for them.
