Sai Baba loved Shama (Madhav Rao Deshpande) so much. There was beauty and gladness about Shama, of which he did not had eyes to see. That was perhaps one of the reasons he kept coaxing Sai Baba for trivial matters. It did not matter much to Sai Baba, as his love wanted to give Shama the best, the spiritual treasures. Shirdi Sai Baba, distributed large amount of money to devotees, poor, beggar, Fakirs and needy. It is said about Rs. 500 were distributed daily by Saibaba. Tatya, Ramchandra Patil, Bade Baba, Bayaji Patil were few devotees from Shirdi, who received money from Sai Baba everyday, and grew rich with money also along with the spiritual benefit they received.Shama (Madhavrao Despande), was however one of the devotees, like Abdul Baba and Mahalsapati, who never received money from Sai Baba. Sai Baba's incidents with Shama (Madhavrao Deshpande) sheds light on the amazing relationship of Sakha (friendship), of God and the devotee. This paradox of knowing the one with God as God, and behaving with Him as an intimate friend are very rare to find, comparing to other forms of devotion.India, has a rich spiritual background, and perhaps no other country, since centuries have so many individuals totally dedicated to spirituality and search of God, on varied paths. Recently there was much political disturbance in India. It was about the bridge that Lord Rama had built between India and Sri Lanka, on the way to defeat the ruler of Lanka, a demon with immense powers and sena (troops).Had read it in news papers, without much interest as it was a political subject and not a spiritual one. But since Lord Rama, Ramayana has immense spiritual meaning even to this date (it can never die and so does Shirdi Sai Baba ), it was not left merely as a political subject. Much has been written about how Sai Baba of Shirdi , showed his acceptance to His pictures or photos and idol. One described in Shri Sai SatCharitra and on a post called Sai Baba's love for devotion. Sai Baba on this occasion pointed out that, he went for the daily offerings of prasad (food offerigs) to him, offered to him along with the worship offering to his picture in a devotees home in Bombay (now Mumbai), and found that no food was offered that day, and had to return hungry.This incident also comes from the Tarkhad family from Mumbai. 1915 A. Today, or just a few minutes ago got one more lesson on Shraddha meaning Faith and Saburi meaning patience. One similar incident, which happened long time back is mentioned in the first experiences with Shirdi Sai Baba.Shirdi visit was quite amazing as always. The spiritual charge that was felt cannot be explained. Returning from the Shirdi, the greedy mind did not wanted to lose it. There was a comment on this blog dealing with meditation, after i returned. i replied, while replying following quote of Sai Baba from Sri SaiSatCharitra made an impact on the mind, ?All My senses left their places, and concentrated themselves in My eyes, and My sight was centered on him. Visited Shirdi this Dipawali. Reached one day before Dipawali. Visiting Shirdi is always a splendid out of the world spiritual experience. The day i reached Shirdi, was supposed to meet a priest in regard to staying for the padayatris (people visiting Shirdi from Surat with Palkhi). A devotee had given me the job to get the sanctioned letter for their stay in accommodation provided by Shri Saibaba Sansthan guest houses. While conversing with the priest, i happened to tell him, how i was least interested in Shirdi Sai Baba and got my first experience near the stone on which Sai Baba used to sit, which is placed opposite the gate of Holy Dwarkamai or Masjidmai.I went there wearing the shawl sanctified at Sai Baba's Samadhi, in Masjid Mai, on the stone which Sai Baba used to sit. This is an interview taken of Rajiv Talim,Grand Son of B.V.Talim, who is Sculpture of Sai Baba statue now in Shirdi, where millions take darshan of Sai Baba. The interview is conducted on the place where the idol was carved out. Mr. Rajiv in the interview, tells since it was difficult to get the idea of the physical characteristic of the face of Sai Baba from the original pictures of Sai Baba available, he had some doubts about the appearance of the face of the murti (idol).So he prayed to Sai Baba to help him regarding how the face should look.
