Ramana Maharshi was a great intellectual giant, who encouraged Self-enquiry or "Who am I " ?When a thought arises, ask to whom doth this thought occur . You will come to know it is occurring to "I". Go deep and ask " Who is this I ?".We have had many experiences. Most of them torrid. In Meditation, just go and ask " Who is the experiencer ?". It will all come back to "I"" The true Self-enquiry is Bhakthi " said Sankara ( Swaswaroopasya Anusandhanam Bhakthirithi Abhidheeyate ).He spake " In the Infinite Sky of Consciousness, the Sun of Self-Realisation shines bright and brilliant. Disperse the cloud of Ego obstructing the moonlight of Consciousness and the bud of Truth begins to blossom.
