Information is the most Valuable Material
2007-02-13 17:09:01 Information is very important in the world. The CIA and the KGB go around the world to gather information for the greater good of their country. Information is very valuable to everyone and it will always be valuable. The internet is full of information and people come online just for information. If you ever think about it, information is worth alot of money from place to place to a certain degree. If you think you have some valuable information then you can make alot of money. You just have to do research and find out which markets to hit with your blog. If you have gossips from Hollywood, Micosofts’s latest software news, etc. then you can offer something to the internet that can generate you alot of revenue. Get a FREE iTunes Gift Card with a Purchse of Zune mp3 Player
2007-02-12 23:07:09 It looks as if CompUSA staff doesn’t quite know how to advertise their business. Microsoft’s Zune mp3 player is in heavy competition with Apple’s iPod mp3 player and it looks as if CompUSA is doing a great job helping Microsoft, NOT! Check out the pic below. It shows the stupidity of some people in retail when it comes to competition. And you wonder why 90% of the businesses fail in USA. Bookmark to: More About: Tunes , Card , Itunes , Play

Use Priceline.com for Up to 70% Hotel Discount Reservations
2007-02-12 11:06:06 Priceline.com is a travel reservation site and it’s perfect for those who are in a budget plan. I booked a hotel for several nights for $85 a night in New York City. I only booked for hotels on the site but I haven’t tried the car rentals and booking flights service. Don’t stop in just NYC, you can do this for all USA cities. How to reserve a hotel for a cheap price? 1. Click on the hotels tab. 2. Fill in the fields they ask and press Search Hotel s. 3. You may come up to a page that lets you choose the exct city from a choice of different states, chose it and click next. 4. On the top left, click on the best deals. 5. From that page, follow the directions and you should end up with a reservations up to 70% off of the regular price. Bookmark to: More About: Reservations , Rice , Price , Count
Spirit Airlines Gets Greedy for Extra Luggages
2007-02-12 11:06:06 Spirit Airlines announced that they will charge their flyers almost the price of a one-way airfare ticket. It looks as if they are doing charge increase to balance out for their discounted airfare. They give the first bag to be free, for the second they charge $10, and for the third bag it’s $110! It wasn’t good enough that they lower the weight limit of the luggages from 70 pounds to 50 pounds but now they charge incredibly crazy. My advice to you readers is avoid using Spirit, just stick with Airtran Airlines. Bookmark to: More About: Gets , Greed , Reed , Spirit

Darwinsm and the Internet
2007-02-11 17:04:04 I’m sure alot of you have heard “survival of the fittest” one time or another in your life. In your public schools they taught you only the strong survives and the weak disappears. Well, that’s true for the sites on the internet. If you go around surfing the web you can see that the demographics of users shifts swiftly from one web site to another. I’m writing this post because alot of sites have been disappearing from time to time because the owners can’t compete with big boys. Their sites don’t get enough traffic so, no income comes in and the hosting charges surpass their marginal revenue. So, I’m writing this post to help small site owners develop. Competition is always a key factor in any business. In Darwin ’s theory, organisms compete with each other for resources. On the internet web developers compete with each other for visitors, which are the resources for revenue. It’s true, the strong survives and the we... Getting More than One Niche
2007-02-10 17:01:14 As you know, a niche is a place in the market where you have the monopoly. A site with a specific content has a niche based on a certain field that the site specializes in. A place in the market where people will go for a certain product. For example, the blog StevePavlina.com’s niche is in Personal Development, and Engadget.com’s nich is in gizmoz and gadgets. Another example is Microsoft; they had a niche in the computer OS industry in the earlier years. I still haven’t found my niche yet. DesiNotes is new and the domain name is young. I plan on getting into a niche of philosophy; if not a primary niche then a secondary, I was studying some philisophocal work of Confucianism and other ancient Chinese philosophers. I’m going to add a category of “Philosophy” on my first philosophy post. I plan on getting into more than one niche since DesiNotes is very broad in topics. My main goal is advice and then go into philosophy. So, let’... More About: More , Niche
What is Quality Content
2007-02-10 17:01:14 In my previous posts, I kept on giving tips of creating high quality content for boosting the quality of the site. There are so many people and expert bloggers who will tell you to create quality, but they don’t go into the details of that. So, what is quality content? Quality content is unique content that cannot be found anywhere else on the web. Most of the quality content that you will find on the internet will be original content. What does that tell you? Yeah, you should create original content. Quality content is content that is worth reading and that is worth linking to. The best way to make quality content is to think what would you want to read if you were a visitor. Put yourself in your visitors’ position and think what you would find interesting. Try to make a site for yourself, write content that you would love to read over and over again. Before you know it you will have information thursty visitors coming to your site time after time. Trust With a Site?s Age
2007-02-10 05:00:02 Another quicktip for your online knowledge. Most search engines, especially Google gives trust on domains based on their age. If you have two sites, one site that has been running for 5 years and another site which has been running for 3 years, your older site will have a higher chance of showing up in the upper rank of the organic search results. So, if you want a strong online business make sure you renew and keep your domain or domains. If you are registering for a new domain make sure your register it for more than one year. Banning of iPods and Cellphones NYC Streets
2007-02-08 16:59:05 Senator Carl Kruger proposed a bill to ban the use of cellphones, mp3s players, and the use of other electronic devices in the streets of New York City. Since most New York City rely in walking and the use of public transportation, the government thinks it’s safer for pedestrians not to use any electronic devices while walking in city streets. With over 20 million people in the city I wonder how the NYPD will enforce this. This is just another pointless bill that no one will pay attention to if passed by the NY state government. Stay Away from Creating Flash Websites
2007-02-08 16:59:05 Just a quick tip, if your thinking about making an online business, and you’re thinking about adding graphical content, then don’t choose Flash . Flash is an Active X component, therefore, search bots will have a hard time indexing sites with Flash. If you’re goign to use Flash, then use it for a banner or something that is not significant for search bots to look for. Don’t even use Flash for your site’s navigation, use texts from HTML for your site’s navigation so search bots, especially Google’s bot, can easily follow through the link. You will get less search results of your site in Google’s organic search results if you use Flash than to use straight up HTML. Bookmark to: More About: Website , Site , Websites , Webs
Now the Zune Phone Against the iPhone
2007-02-06 22:56:05 Now that it’s certain that Microsoft is on the process of creating a Zune phone, things may get a bit more competitive in the technology market between Apple and Microsoft. Apple beat Microsoft in the mp3 player market and it doesn’t look as if Microsoft is going to be put down that easily. Microsoft already beat Sony by exceeding the popularity in games and in sales of their XBOX 360 against Sony’s PlayStation 3. Microsoft is good to go in the video game market but weather they can beat Apple in the phone market is uncertain. Microsoft is proud of their Windows Mobile OS installed in the popular HTC phones so obviously Zune phones will most likely have Windows Mobile installed on them. Apple’s iPhone is not even in the market yet and still people are going crazy to get one for themselves after seeing what the phone can do, that’s smart marketing for you. Let’s see if Microsoft has the same or better innovations to create an advance phone to com... More About: Iphone , Again
Microsoft Charges for Support
2007-02-06 10:55:02 Microsoft is got a bit greedy with tightening their security by restricting a single Windows XP OS license per computer and not by the owner. Now they got a bit greedier by charging more for support than previous years with previous Windows versions. Windows XP and Windows Vista support costs the customer $59 per incident. Office XP and Office 2007 now costs $49 per incident. With restricting one Windows XP license for one computer, Microsoft is making more money than before. In my opinion Windows support should be free since Windows has so many problems and the users have to go through hell with every single versions with blue screens and other problems in the OS. Online Deals
2007-02-06 04:55:03 I know that sometimes or another we want a deal online. I surf the internet alot and I pass by great deals all the time. I don’t go for them because I don’t need the products or services, but I know others do. So, from time to time I will post some online deals in this blog when I spot them out. Some of the site that offer great deals are: NewEgg.com-Great for computers, computer parts, and other electronics Craigslist.org-Great for finding products as low as 60% off Shopping.com-Great for finding a listing of online deals from various stores Most of the deals I find may be from NewEgg.com because they sell many electronic products at incredible low prices. I spent hundreds of dollars from their site and I was satisfied with the price of the products and their fast shipping. Bookmark to: More About: Online , Deal , Line
The Good Old Games
2007-02-05 16:54:01 We can all remember the great old Super Nintendo System. With games like Super Mario World, Mario Kart, and Donkey Kong games that would comsume our childhood hours in front of the TV. All these game systems that came after such as XBOX 360, PS2, Nintendo 64, could not match the fun and enjoyment of SNES. I’m not into the video games nowadays because of time and work, also because these “extreme” video games are not as fun as the classics. I’m not a video gamer, but I would rather spend my money on the old generation gaming systems than the current gaming systems. I looked on eBay and found the systems by itself and systems with games selling for $50 to $120. I plan on buying a system with few of the Mario Game s and the Donkey Kong World game. DesiNotes Blogging Network
2007-02-05 16:54:01 I checked some of the blog networks such as b5 Media and Weblogs Inc. and I like the idea of having a bunch of different blogs networked together under one umbrella. Weblogs Inc. rejected my site for some wierd reason. b5 seems very fair but then I can’t have independence of my blog. I may start my own blogging network soon. I may not be a top notch blogger yet like the big boys but having a network is good to have. The benefits of a blog network - Diverse Blog s - Diverse Authors - Exchanging of Visitors - More Authority - More Inbound Links - More Revenue Generated If you blog frequently and your blog is at least 90 days old then please contact me of joining if your interested. If I get a good number of participants with credible blogs then I will create the network. The bigger the network gets the more money it will generate for all the participants. Always Buy Unlocked GSM Phones
2007-02-04 04:52:04 Did you ever wanted to go around the world and wanted to use a GSM phone there? Well, when I went to Bangladesh I used my GSM unlocked phone easily without trouble. Some of the phones that T-Mobile and Cingular sells are quad band, as in they have (850/900/1800/1900) Mhz frquency. When you have a quad band phone you can go any where in the world and use your phone with the local mobile services there. You can also use tri-band, (900/1800/1900) Mhz, phones around the world also, but in less places than with quad-band phones. Buying unlocked phones are smart buys because you won’t have the burden of being locked up in a contract that these cell phone companies get people in. You can switch your GSM phone services from one cell phone company to another and freely use your phone without any painful 1-2 years contract. You can find unlocked phones on Amazon.com and eBay.com with the keyword “unlocked” in the search query. amazon_ad_tag = "amarshonarban-20"; amaz... Increasing Productivity with Multiple Monitors
2007-02-04 04:52:04 Graphic designers, bloggers, and other computer saavy people need more and more viewing space for their workspace. I tried to work with two monitors and to my surprise I was able to do alot of my work faster and easier. You may wonder what’s the point, but the truth is if you work at home, then multiple monitors can help you work faster. Instead of going back and forth to the task bar, you can just move the mouse further to go to the other screen to continue working with other applications. Most old and all new computers with Windows have the ability to extend the desktop to multiple monitors. I never tried extending the desktop with Macintosh so I don’t know if Macs can do this. Look at the pic above, I got this from ShoeMoney.com. The pic is Jeremy Schoemaker’s work center. Look how he has three monitors hooked up for effecient, mutiple workspace. Avoid Targeting Digg Traffic
2007-02-04 04:52:04 Some people try their best to get traffic from Digg , others don’t even bother getting their content listed on that site. The reason for that is, on average, Digg users spend arond 4 seconds on a website when referred from Digg. Not only that Digg users will not give you much ad clicks. I have gotten many users from Digg, and I read the marketing on Digg of other websites and they all agree that Digg users are not the best traffic for revenue. Digg users are mostly for videos and quick glimpse of great news. Digg is getting a negative response from alot of people for some of their actions. My favorite blog, JohnChow.com, was banned from Digg for some wierd stupid reason. Digg is also very bad for blogs. They don’t help many blogs gain anything. Due to Digg’s arrogant actions, few Digg clones were created like Blog-Buzz.com and Technorati WTF. So, save your time and energy of marketing; avoid Digg and look else where for great traffic. No More Social Networks
2007-02-04 04:52:04 It seems as if every week a new social network is created and they sent out a massive number of invitations via emails, messages on forums, and PMs on other social networks to gain members. After a month or two they tend to close down because they don’t get enough members for their network. Online social networks are all the same nowadays. Bebo, Firendster, Ringo, etc. were once up there but then FaceBook came along and took over the competition with their superior yet simple networking features. I read about some people saying the “next big thing” when they plan to create a social network which leads only to failure. The reason they fail is that they make every features the same as the other social network, it’s just under a new name. The same features include private messaging, profile comments, uploading pics, friends list, etc. If you have a unique idea that no other site ceated then create a social network otherwise dump the idea. Building Up The Upper Body
2007-01-27 22:51:02 It’s been over six months since I worked out and my main goal with my workout was and still is now, is to build up and tone my chest. I do biceps as well but I tried and tried ways to gain strength by following various workouts from other people only to fail. I do a regular workout with bench press exercises often; for those who don’t know, bench press is when you lie down and you have a bar of weight you lift up parallel to your chest. And for some reason I couldn’t do more than 125 pounds in a set. A freind of mine suggested that I do push-ups often every night before going to sleep. I followed what he said and to my surprise I was slowly increasing in strength with my workout. I guess I wasn’t building up on my triceps. I wanted a firm and toned chest so I did 20 push-ups every night with an addition of 2 push-ups every other night. For example let’s say I started to do 20 push-ups on Monday, I do 20 of them again on Tuesday, but on Wednesday ... More About: Building , Body , Build , The U
Download Online Videos
More articles from this author:2007-01-27 22:51:02 On a previous post I wrote how to download YouTube videos. But now there is a service that allows you to download online videos from all services. From YouTube, Google Video s, Dailymotion, MySpace Videos , Break.com, etc. All you have to do is get the URL of the video and copy and paste the URL to the address box on KeepVid, and you’re set. On some of the URLs you may have to modify them but it should be no biggy. Try it and enjoy. Bookmark to: More About: Download , Online Video , Online 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 |
