Kickoff To Summer
2007-06-24 01:04:00 Greetings from the Farm that never sleeps. Thursday, of course, was Summer Solstice and what better way to celebrate the longest day of the year than to party all night. It's exactly that kind of spirit that lead Bill and Mary Rammes to throw their Kick off To Summer!Maggie was pleased to help plan and coordinate this party on an absolutely perfect evening at the Rammes's beautiful home. The Mckenzie Brothers entertained the guests with witty and danceable tunes. The party was catered by the staff at The Country Club of North Carolina......and featured a pig picking served up by Darol Roberts. In all, what better way to kickoff the summer than with a little food,... ...a little refreshment,......a little friendship,......a little dance,......And maybe even a little romance.More images from Kickoff To Summer can be found in the "current events" section of our galleries page, http://maggiesfarm.zenfolio.com

Going To Pot
2007-06-16 22:47:00 Welcome back my friendsto the show that never ends. We're so glad you could attend.Come inside, come inside. If you're old enough to remember that lyric, I sincerely hope we can help you with your daughter's upcoming wedding.I mentioned Maggie doing pots for our clients. That's what she's doing right now. I actually remembered to take my camera out with me last week so I was able to capture a few images of her work to share here.I think the image above might show as well as anything what makes Maggie, Maggie. We had this spot on a front porch. It was going to be a major pain to get irrigation to it and the owners travel a bit so we couldn't be sure about the pots getting water. Maggie came up with this solution that adds interest and structure. It fits well with the landscape and the house. It's the kind of imagination that sets Maggie apart. From the same property, Maggie used hibiscus and plumbago in this low iron pot at the end of the pool. Maggie chose pink verbena, pink pet... Greetings from down on the farm. Not a lot going ...
2007-06-10 02:51:00 Greetings from down on the farm. Not a lot going on this weekend. We get a chance to rest up and catch up a little bit. I was going to post some pic's of some of Maggie's pots this week but the landscaping is still jumping so I never made it out the door with a camera. Instead, I think I'll go back a couple of weeks and share some images of some of Maggie's work for the Allen - Scott wedding.Laura Leigh Scott and Daniel Alan Scott were wed at five o'clock on Saturday, May 26, at The West End Presbyterian Church with the reception held at The Crawford Center behind the church. Maggie was proud to serve as both florist and coordinator for the event. The image above is one of a kind of unusual request. Our bride, Laura, wanted a silk bouquet for her wedding portrait and Maggie was happy to oblige. I don't know that I saw the portrait but it photographed nicely in Maggie's sun room. This is the bouquet Laura was carrying when she became Mrs. Daniel Alan Scott. This is an Image of a...
