NASA STUDY FINDS INCREASING SOLAR TREND THAT CAN CHANGE CLIMATE
2008-01-06 20:11:00
Since the late 1970s, the amount of solar radiation the sun emits, during times of quiet sunspot activity, has increased by nearly .05 percent per decade, according to a NASA funded study. This trend is important because, if sustained over many decades, it could cause significant climate change.Click on title above for full Nasa Article.

Weather Changes Are Result of Mysterious Transformation of the Sun
2008-01-06 18:41:00
The weather changes, currently alarming millions here on Earth, are ultimately part of an overall, mysterious transformation that is affecting the Sun, a number of other planets and many of their satellite all across the solar system. The cause of these remarkable planetary transformations, I believe is explained by appealing to a new form of Physics not yet embraced by most of mainstream science. It's actually old Physics once the centerpiece of 19th Century, pre-quantum reality. At its most fundamental, it is a Physics based on the accessibility of higher dimensions. This higher dimensional or hyperdimensional description is not just an abstract concept, left over from a few mathematicians a hundred years ago but is a serious, quantifiable new model, regarding the real domain of energies that invisibly flow into and out of our three-dimensional reality literally creating in the process all of physical matter as well as its observed, three-dimensional, highly complex interactions....

Scientists Uncover More Mysteries of White Dwarfs
2008-01-06 02:09:00
White dwarfs are commonly believed to be stellar corpses, the dense, slowly cooling remnants of low to medium mass stars. So scientists were surprised to find a high-energy x-ray pulse coming from the white dwarf known as AE Aquarii, pictured here in an artist's rendering. Scientists say the emission looks like that of a pulsar?a rotating neutron star formed after a supernova, the life-ending explosion of a massive star. "This is the first time such pulsar-like behavior has ever been observed in a white dwarf. Scientists confirm that this discovery means that white dwarfs could be "quiet but numerous" sources of the mysterious cosmic rays that zip through the galaxy.

Are Comet 17P/Holmes and Comet 8P/Tuttle Related to the Blue Star of Hopi?
2008-01-06 01:32:00
Throughout history comets have been the harbingers of doom, civil wars, assassinations, and political unrest. The first century Roman historian and naturalist Pliny the Elder described these celestial phenomena by using the term Crinitae "... as if shaggy with bloody locks, and surrounded by bristles like hair. They frequently bring "disaster," dis- meaning "apart" or "asunder" and aster meaning "star."Between October 23 and 24, 2007, another ?hairy star? named Comet 17P/Holmes literally exploded from a magnitude of 17 to a magnitude of 2.8. (The lower the magnitude, the brighter the star.) In other words, it increased in brightness by a factor of a nearly a million in just a few hours. Sky and Telescope magazine has called it "the weirdest new object to appear in the sky in memory. In this age each of us must pick our individual way through a thicket of conflicting ideologies and worldviews. We can say with impunity, however, that Comet 17P/Holmes and Comet 8P/Tuttle join the growing...

2008 Predicted to be Warmest Year Since 1998
2008-01-06 00:24:00
It is most unlikely that 2008 will be as warm as or warmer than the current warmest year of 1998, which was 0.52 °C above the long-term 1961-1990 average because it was dominated by an extreme El Niño.Global temperature for 2008 is expected to be 0.37 °C above the long-term (1961-1990) average of 14.0 °C, the coolest year since 2000, when the value was 0.24 °C.For 2008, the development of a strong La Niña in the tropical Pacific Ocean will limit the warming trend of the global climate. During La Niña, cold waters upwell to cool large areas of the ocean and land surface temperatures. The forecast includes for the first time a new decadal forecast using a climate model. This indicates that the current La Niña event will weaken only slowly through 2008, disappearing by the end of the year.

Solar Cycle 24 has began Jan 03,08 and will peak 2011 or 2012
2008-01-04 23:31:00
Solar physicists have been waiting for the appearance of a reversed-polarity sunspot to signal the start of the next solar cycle. The wait is over. Yesterday Jan 03, 08, a magnetically reversed, high-latitude sunspot emerged. This marks the beginning of Solar Cycle 24 and the first step toward a new solar maximum. Intense solar activity won't begin right away. Solar cycles usually take a few years to build from solar minimum (where we are now) to Solar Max (expected in 2011 or 2012). It's a slow journey, but we're on our way!As predicted Solar Cycle 24 is right on schedule. I believe 2008 will be a profound turning point for humanity.

We Were Made for These Times
2008-01-03 17:55:00
If you are feeling bewildered do not lose heart. We must come to the full comprehension that we were made for these times. The state of affairs in our world right now is in the human consciousness like never before. We find the times we live in are a time of almost daily astonishment and often righteous rage over the latest degradations of what matters most to civilized, visionary people.Do not lose hope please do not expend your spirit being entrenched in negative thoughts about these difficult times. Because what we are being called to remember is that we were made for these times.Life time after lifetime we have been learning, practicing, in training for and just waiting to meet on this exact plain of engagement. We can see this as we meet the awakening souls, there have never been more awakened souls than there are right now across the world. Who are being fully provisioned and able to support one another as never before in the history of humanity. Look out into the world; th...

Dark Star Could be Wiping Out Other Galaxies
2007-12-19 06:41:00
A black hole blasting an immense jet of energy into a neighbouring galaxy has been observed by astronomers for the first time. The jet is so powerful that it wipes out any life in its path. The stream erupted in a galactic system called 3C321, which consists of two galaxies orbiting each other in relatively close proximity of just 20 thousand light years."The jet began impacting the galaxy about one million years ago, a small fraction of the system's lifetime," it said in a statement. It said the effect on the stricken galaxy would likely be substantial, but not necessarily negative."The massive influx of energy and radiation from the jet could induce the formation of large numbers of stars and planets after its initial wake of destruction is complete.I think the scienific community is preparing themselves for the inevitable they will soon have to share more wth the general public about what is really happening in our universe because if they don't they realize we will find out they...

What Does Apocalypse and 2012 Have in Common?
2007-12-17 00:36:00
The word "apocalypse" does not mean "the end of the world". Apocalypse means "revelation or the lifting of the veil" ? a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the mass of humankind. The Greek root corresponds in the Septuagint (an early Jewish text) to the Hebrew galah (???), "to reveal".It is only through continued erroneous usage, that the term been degraded to refer instead to the end of the world. One possible source may be the phrase apokalupsis eschaton (from the Greek Eschatos meaning ?last?) which literally means ?revelation at the end of the world? or ?the lifting of the veil at the time of the last thing?.Gloomy interpretations of prophetic visions are prevalent in many early Christian Jewish writings. On closer examination however, we find that even the term ?end of the world?, as we encounter it in the King James Version of the Bible, is more properly interpreted as the ?end of the age?. The word translated as ?world? is ac...

Humanity is not Responsible for Climate Change According to Recent Study
2007-12-16 21:03:00
As much of the U.S. is being blasted by vicious ice storms, a blockbuster report published in a prestigious scientific journal insists that the evidence shows that climate warming is both natural and unstoppable and that carbon dioxide (CO2) is not a pollutant. The conclusion is that climate change is "unstoppable" and cannot be affected or modified by controlling the emission of greenhouse gases, such as CO2, as is proposed in current legislation. The observed pattern of warming, comparing surface and atmospheric temperature trends, does not show the characteristic fingerprint associated with greenhouse warming. The inescapable conclusion is that the human contribution is not significant and that observed increases in carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases make only a negligible contribution to climate warming.? Satellite data and independent balloon data agree that atmospheric warming trends do not exceed those of the surface. Greenhouse models, on the other hand, demand that a...

Is a SuperHighway Connecting the Sun and Earth?
2007-12-15 20:01:00
It now appears that the energy that powers a show of Northern Lights comes to Earth from the Sun along the magnetic ropes that the satellites have detected. It seems that Magnetic "ropes" are in fact tying the Earth to the Sun. Scientists have been exploring the mysterious energy (cosmic strings) that powers the spectacular displays of Northern Lights which illuminate the night sky over the Arctic region.Evidence of magnetic ropes connecting the Earth's upper atmosphere directly to the Sun. We believe that solar wind particles flow in along these ropes, providing energy for geomagnetic storms and auroras. The magnetic rope is formed from a twisted bundle of magnetic fields organised much like the twisted hemp of a mariner's rope. Although spacecraft have detected these invisible ropes before, it was the five micro satellites of Themis that allowed scientists to visualise their three-dimensional structure.Themis encountered its first magnetic rope on 20 May. It was very large, about ...

Solar Cycle 24 May in Fact be Right on Schedule
2007-12-14 22:09:00
The solar physics community is abuzz this week. No, there haven't been any great eruptions or solar storms. The source of the excitement is a modest knot of magnetism that popped over the sun's eastern limb on Dec. 11th, pictured above.New solar cycles always begin with a high-latitude, reversed polarity sunspot "Reversed polarity " means a sunspot with opposite magnetic polarity compared to sunspots from the previous solar cycle. "High-latitude" refers to the sun's grid of latitude and longitude. Old cycle spots congregate near the sun's equator. New cycle spots appear higher, around 25 or 30 degrees latitude. The region that appeared on Dec. 11th fits both these criteria. It is high latitude (24 degrees N) and magnetically reversed. Just one problem: There is no sunspot. So far the region is just a bright knot of magnetic fields. If, however, these fields coalesce into a dark sunspot, scientists are ready to announce that Solar Cycle 24 has officially begun.I posted a recent bl...

Watch for Meteor Shower Dec 14th
2007-12-13 18:47:00
Earth has entered a stream of dusty debris from asteroid 3200 Phaethon and, as a result, the annual Geminid meteor shower is underway. Sky watchers around the world are reporting a slow drizzle of late-night meteors at least as bright as the stars of the Big Dipper. The best is yet to come: Forecasters expect the shower to peak on Friday, Dec. 14th. No matter where you live, watch the sky between local midnight and dawn; people outdoors before sunrise on Friday could see dozens to hundreds of shooting stars. Depending on the details of Earth's encounter with Phaethon's debris stream, the shower could continue into the weekend as well.

Artic Ice Predicted to be Gone by 2012
2007-12-13 18:35:00
Here is a Picture of an iceberg melting off Ammassalik Island in Eastern Greenland. The hot Northern Hemisphere summer sharply increased the rate at which Arctic ice is melting and scientists now believe summer ice could be gone completely within five years.New Nasa satellite images reveal so much ice has disappeared that an irreversible tipping point has already been reached because of global warming. The volume of Arctic sea ice at the end of last summer was half what it was four years ago and that the Greenland ice sheet lost almost 19bn tonnes of its volume more than ever before.Senior Scientists say "The Arctic is screaming" and at this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions.Interesting how the 2012 date coincides with a number of events predicted to occur during that time.

Climate Change Manipulation Exposes the US Government
2007-12-12 05:39:00
A recent Article exposes the US government. It has been revealed that since 2003, and especially after hurricane Katrina hit, the White House has broadly attempted to control which climate scientists could speak with reporters, as well as editing scientists' congressional testimony on climate science and key legal opinions, according to a new report by a House committee. The Bush Administration has engaged in a systematic effort to manipulate climate change science and mislead policy makers and the public about the dangers of so global warming, said the report, which is the result of a 16-month probe by the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. "The White House exerted unusual control over the public statements of federal scientists on climate change issues. It is just a matter of time before the pulbic gets full disclosure regrding the current climate scam, or propoganda. My only concern is what will people do once they learn the truth of the deception that is undermining ...

Why is Human Evolution Speeding up?
2007-12-12 00:43:00
A recent research study indicates there are two factors causing human evolution to speed up. 1. There are a lot more people the more people you have the more opportunities there are for an advantageous mutation to show up.A large population has more genetic variation and allows for more positive selection than a small one. 2. Environmental change - our diets have changed, we are in radically new environments, with a large population size comes lots of new diseases. At the moment we are in an evolutionary interval. We are in between two storms. One storm has more or less blown itself out, the storm of farming. The question then become are we going to stay in the calms or whether another great storm will start. And if there is one, scientist beleive it will most certainly be to do with epidemic disease. That's very unfortunate scientist think thisThe great storm is upon us right now and there are more then two factors impacting the speeding up of human evolution. Is it just a matter...

Ancient Flood Could have been the Cause in Halt of a Gulf Stream in Canada
2007-12-10 16:45:00
Lake Agassiz was a giant lake that formed at the end of the last ice age as the huge Laurentide ice sheet melted (see a simulation of the process). The lake occupied most of the modern-day Canadian Midwest between the Hudson Bay and the US border.Just over 8000 years ago, a huge glacial lake in Canada burst, and an estimated 100,000 cubic kilometres of fresh water rushed into the North Atlantic. Researchers now say they know for sure that this catastrophic event shut down the Gulf Stream and cooled parts of the northern hemisphere by several degrees for more than a hundred years. They say the findings show modelling studies are right to suggest that something similar could happen with equal abruptness as the planet warms under human influence. The film The Day After Tomorrow, which portrays such a scenario, may have exaggerated – but not by much.It was the biggest climate event of the last 10,000 years and caused the most dramatic change in the weather since humans began farming. A...

Serious Public Health Concerns Raised Over Exposure to Electromagnetic Fiel
2007-12-10 16:28:00
You cannot see it, taste it or smell it, but it is one of the most pervasive environmental exposures in industrialized countries today. Electroma gnetic radiation (EMR) or electromagnetic fields (EMFs) are the terms that broadly describe exposures created by the vast array of wired and wireless technologies that have altered the landscape of our lives in countless beneficial ways. However, these technologies were designed to maximize energy efficiency and convenience; not with biological effects on people in mind. Based on new studies, there is growing evidence among scientists and the public about possible health risks associated with these technologies.Human beings are bioelectrical systems. Our hearts and brains are regulated by internal bioelectrical signals. Environmental exposures to artificial EMFs can interact with fundamental biological processes in the human body. In some cases, this can cause discomfort and disease.Since World War II, the background level of EMF from electr...

Look at the Latest Sunspot Alert
2007-12-10 02:27:00
The sun is near the lowest ebb of the 11-year solar cycle and, until now, 2007 has been a year of very few sunspots. Enter sunspot 978: It popped over the sun's eastern limb yesterday and is quickly becoming a behemoth. The rapidly growing sunspot group is more than five times wider than Earth, making it an easy target for properly-filtered backyard telescopes. So far sunspot 978 poses little threat for strong solar flares, but this could change if the active region's development continues apace.Sunspot 978 as seen in this picture continues to grow and it now occupies an expanse of sun more than 6 times wider than Earth. "Sunspot 978 is quite big and interesting this sunspot was photographed by Peter Heinzen of Raron, Switzerland just as the sun was setting behind some fir trees in the Swiss Alps.

Global Warming or Global Governance?
2007-12-08 00:02:00
Click on the link above. Here is a very good video if you have the time to watch. If you were to ask ten people on the street if mankind was causing global warming, at least eight out of ten would say yes. After all, Al ... all » Gore?s Inconvenient Truth provides incontrovertible evidence that this is the case. Yet, contrary to what is heard in the media, there is overwhelming evidence that the warming we are experiencing is natural, with maybe a small amount contributed by man?s activities. Nor is there any scientific consensus. The debate is still raging within the scientific community. Sovereignty International has put together interviews of climate scientists and biologists from numerous sources who explain, step by step, why Al Gore and the global warming alarmists are incorrect. In some cases, blatantly so. It also provides evidence that the global warming agenda is being funded with tens of billions of dollars as a mechanism to create global governance. Some Say The Sun Might Save Us From Global Warming
2007-12-06 01:01:00
The tardiness of cycle 24 indicates that we might be entering a period of low solar activity that may counteract man-made greenhouse temperature increases. Some members of the Russian Academy of Sciences say we may be at the start of a period like that seen between 1790 and 1820, a minor decline in solar activity called the Dalton Minimum. They estimate that the Sun's reduced activity may cause a global temperature drop of 1.5C by 2020. This is larger than most sensible predictions of man-made global warming over this period. It's something we must take seriously because what happened in the 17th century is bound to happen again some time. Recent work studying the periods when our Sun loses its sunspots, along with data on other Sun-like stars that may be behaving in the same way, suggests that our Sun may spend between 10 and 25 per cent of the time in this state. Perhaps the lateness of cycle 24 might even be the start of another Little Ice Age. If so, then our Sun might come to...

Why is 2011-2012 Important?
2007-12-04 19:23:00
The next 11-year cycle of solar storms will most likely start March 2008 and peak in late 2011 or mid-2012 ? up to a year later than expected ? according to a forecast issued by NOAA?s Space Environment Center in coordination with an international panel of solar experts.During an active solar period, violent eruptions occur more often on the Sun. Solar flares and vast explosions, known as coronal mass ejections, shoot energetic photons and highly charged matter toward Earth, jolting the planet?s ionosphere and geomagnetic field, potentially affecting power grids, critical military and airline communications, satellites, Global Positioning System signals, and even threatening astronauts with harmful radiation. These same storms illuminate night skies with brilliant sheets of red and green known as auroras, or the northern or southern lights. Solar cycle intensity is measured in maximum number of sunspots ? dark blotches on the Sun that mark areas of heightened magnetic activity. The...
Earth and Venus are not Twins
2007-11-30 23:26:00
The fact is that Venus is an unearthly planet.Venus is not a twin of the Earth at all. It simply doesn't fit the consensus view. And if the view about 'twinship' is mistaken, then the theory about common origins is questionable. What if the idea of an uneventful history of the solar system is merely a comforting fiction? We can't assume that the Earth and Venus were 'born' at the same time and have existed peacefully, for the most part, where we now find them. We cannot be sure what the Sun has done in the past. Differences between the two planets cannot be attributed to small causes growing gradually into a large effect over aeons. It makes a nice story but it is unlikely, wishful thinking.

Earth and Venus may be Twins
2007-11-29 06:16:00
It is really surprising how un-Earth -like Venus is now some time after its birth four billion years ago until as recently as one billion years ago, the planet was much wetter and Earth-like. It is now becoming clearer why the climate on Venus is so very different from that on Earth, despite the fact that the planets themselves are similar. There are many common processes at work between earth and venus, such as a carbon dioxide driven greenhouse effect, volcanic activity, and atmospheric erosion by solar particles and radiation. On Venus, these have worked to virtually eliminate water from the planet while maintaining high levels of carbon dioxide, while Earth has retained much of its water and lost most of its atmospheric carbon dioxide.A runaway greenhouse leads to both very high temperatures and water as steam in the atmosphere. Although Venus began with around as much water as Earth, the water vapour was gradually stripped off into space by the rain of energetic particles from th...

Study Centre Focus on Climate Change and Genocide
2007-11-27 22:38:00
Droughts in Africa, hurricanes in America, floods in Bangladesh - the dramatic images of climate change. There is a warning that if world temperatures continue to rise, there could worse in store: genocide. Since globalisation has intensified the competition for resources climate change will increase the scarcity of resources, be it habitable land or drinkable water, amid the already existing shortage of fossil energy such as oil. It seems their might be a relationship to Genocide and competition over resources and that their could definitely be related which may cause the 21st century, rather than the 20th, to be the century of genocides. The possibility of genocide being caused by globalisation, climate change and competition for scarce resources will be one of the focal areas of study at the centre, the first of its kind in the UK.
