The expenditure incurred as on 31st March 2007 for this purpose is:- Rs. 116.89 croes for the Northern Region, Rs. 3.9 crores for the Eastern Region, Rs. 58.33 crores for the North-Eastern Region, Rs. 80.32 crores for the Western Region and Rs. 101.87 crores for the Southern Region. This information was given by Shri Praful Patel, Minister for Civil Aviation in the Lok Sabha today. 2007-05-02 03:13:00 Management of Micro Enterprises is a glaring absentee in the syllabi of MBA programmes all over the country, says V Mukundadas, Dean, IIITM-K and faculty IIM-K. However, Micro Enterprises topic is turning out to be one of three specific areas, where a managerial revolution is brewing up. "A separate national institute for micro enterprise managment should be set up. It should also become part of IIM curriculum," Prof Das mooted at a national seminar on 'Changing Management Trends and Revival Strategies', organised by KMCT School of Business (KSB), Kozhikode. The other two areas, poised to change radically, are IT enterprises management and rural marketing management. 2007-05-01 03:51:00 Barely a day after a Jaipur resident filed a police complaint against actress and TV anchor Mandira Bedi for allegedly showing disrespect to the national flag, another complaint was filed on the same grounds against her in a court in in the South Indian city of Kozhikode on Monday. Pushparaj, hailing from Koyilandy near here, moved the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court seeking action against Bedi for reportedly wearing a sari while hosting a show on a TV channel during the World Cup final that had the national flags of the 16 participating nations printed in it. According to the complainant, 'India's flag, however, was placed near her knees' which allegedly violated the Flag Code. "By wearing the sari, she has shown disrespect to our national flag and according to section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, she can be punished with imprisonment upto three years", petitioner's Counsel, S K Premraj told PTI over phone from Kochi.
