He was 62.Authorities have said that it did not appear to be foul play, but that Brumkert had hit his head on a window which shattered the glass and cut him. He had managed to wrap his throat with a towel before collapsing.Brumkert started his career as a jazz drummer and, in the 60's, was a member of both the blues band Slim's Blues Gang and the pop group Science Poption. Later in the decade, he returned to jazz in the group Opus III.The jazz exposure brought work as a session drummer, which is how he teamed up with the principles in ABBA.
