During the show, attorney Alan Shore (James Spader) takes on a case from a young girl who is suing her school over their sex education stance. Apparently the fifteen year old girl had sex, is now HIV positive, and wants at least some of the burden of this placed on the abstinence only teachings of the school. Some times these sorts of politically charged (hypothetical) cases are in fact based on real life situations, while in some cases I get the feeling that the show is looking to prove a point. Since I have personally not seen any evidence that this exact case has been brought, I figure this example falls into the latter category.
