Carrie Underwood Does Vitamin Water Commercial With 50 Cent and Brian Urlac
2008-04-16 18:28:00
Carrie Underwood and Carrie Underwood clowns around while making a new commercial for Vitamin Water. 50 gets fed his Vitamin water. Carrie Underwood works on her fitness in the new commercial.Brian Urlacher, Rapper 50 Cent, Singer Carrie Underwood and Football Player Adrian Peterson Behind The Scenes at Vitamin Water Commercial at the Ironbound Recreation Center in New Jersey. Is it us or does 50 seem really possesive of Carrie. We know he is not Carrie's type he should keep her at bay from Brian Urlacher that is. Urlacher loves blondes, or at least train wreck blondes, (Tara Reid, Paris Hilton, etc). This vitamin water project as been very successful for 50, he is a big investor. (photo via wireimage)

The Past, Present, and Future Stars Of The NFL

Nobody stays in their prime for long, most athletes have about a three year period of peak performance before skills start to erode. I’ve taken it upon myself to put the six most important positions under a microscope and predict the next big thing. What current NFL player would you choose to build your ...
What Happened Week 14: Ryan Grant, Trent Edwards, Adrian Peterson
2007-12-10 22:54:00
Peyton Manning completed 4 passes for touchdowns yesterday and another nine passes not for touchdowns.  That's a 30.7% touchdown percentage.  Very efficient. The Chiefs had 17 carries for 16 yards yesterday.   Take away the longest run of the day and it was 16 carries for nine yards.  But hey, Tony Gonzalez had a good day. I realize nobody other than fantasy football owners may have noticed, and nobody else probably cares, but Laurence Maroney sucks. Adrian Peterson (the good one, not the Chicago one) had 14 carries for three yards.  Take away his longest run of the day and he finished with 13 carries for -1 yards.  That happened against the Forty Niners.  I'm guessing that game film is being requested by more than a few teams this afternoon. If Shaun Alexander doesn't retire or get traded, figuring out how Alexander and Morris will split carries will be one of fantasy football's biggest questions heading into the 2008 season. It's hard ...
Adrian Peterson: A Formidable Opponent
2007-12-05 18:53:00
A day after returning from a knee injury, Peterson ducked into the Vikings’ training room Monday. It was a brief visit. The 49ers’ were lucky. The team faces the rookie dynamo on Sunday at Monster Park that is still looking for a fraction of the offensive excitement Adrian Peterson has delivered for the Minnesota Vikings. ...
Sportaphile?s Pro Bowl Ballot - Offense
2007-12-05 10:30:00
I never watch the Pro Bowl. When I’m looking at football I want to see angry linebackers trying to injure someone, not guys running around smiling in Hawaii. The game is boring and worthless. … but that doesn’t mean I don’t vote. I’m not a typical voter (well maybe I am), and I’m a spiteful bastard. ...
Notes On A Train: Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch and Marvin Harrison
2007-11-21 02:37:00
After two hours of last minute requests at work heading into the getaway day for Thanksgiving, I sat back on the 6:45PM train and listened to Will Carroll of Baseball Prospectus, Rotowire, SI.com etc during his weekly appearance on "The Rotowire Fantasy Sports Hour With Chris Liss".  He covered four injury situations -  Marshawn Lynch, Adrian Peterson, Marvin Harrison and Ryan Grant.   Quick and dirty, here is what he said: Expect Marshawn Lynch to return later then Adrian Peterson. Adrian Peterson could be back this week depending on how he feels on Friday and definitely by Week Thirteen. Marvin Harrison is out this week and there is some locker room grumbling. With the short week, the Packers must decide if 75% of Ryan Grant on Thursday is better than 100% of another Green Bay RB. All of this is subject to change as players get back on the practice field, but I am quite pleased with the Peterson news.  Now I worry whether I just heard what I wanted to hear a...
Is It Too Early To Confirm Vince Young?s Madden Curse?
2007-11-19 22:27:00
Like clockwork, every single year the cover athlete for Madden NFL Football goes down in flames. I cringed earlier this year when I found out Vince Young took the money from EA Sports and decided to face the devil because I happen to like the guy. Vince Young has thrown only 4 touchdowns this year ...
HUGE Injury News - Adrian Peterson
2007-11-13 15:55:00
Adrian Peterson has a torn ligament in his knee. "Luckily", it is his Lateral Collateral Ligament (LCL) rather than his ACL, MCL or PCL. This should allow him to return yet this season. Also, the Vikings are claiming that Purple Jesus could even return to practice early in Week 12. THe consensus opinion, however, puts All Day out for 2-4 weeks and I have absolutely no idea why the Vikings

I like Adrian Peterson. This rookie has inspired me so much and he will be a successful running back in the future. Adrian Peterson Has Torn Ligament After Packers Game - ESPN

Record-setting Vikings back has ligament injury in kneeESPN.com news servicesEDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will miss Sunday's game against Oakland Raiders with a torn ligament in his right knee, coach Brad Childress said Monday.Childress said Peterson tore his lateral collateral ligament in the Vikings' 34-0 loss to Green Bay. Peterson will not require surgery, Childress said."The good news is that the knee is otherwise stable and the injury is isolated to that ligament," Childress said. "I'm told that's a good healing ligament."Childress said this is not a season-ending injury, but he did not talk about when Peterson might be back.Peterson was hurt just a week after he set an NFL single-game rushing record with 296 yards in a victory over San Diego.Peterson wasn't even sure who tackled him late in the third quarter of Sunday's 34-0 loss to Green Bay. After an 11-yard catch on a screen, he was hit by Packers cornerback Al Harris and went...

Week Ten Injuries - Adrian Peterson and LenDale White
2007-11-12 02:08:00
Cheap shot? (Morry Gash/AP)With 45 rushing yards on 11 carries, Vikings' RB Adrian Peterson did not produce the way many expected him to do following last week's record-setting effort.  That is secondary, though, to the injury status of his knee. He was hit low in the 3rd quarter and did not return.  An MRI is scheduled for Monday.  Until then, the football world will wait with bated breath for the status of what could be a historical rookie season. * Tennessee Titan's RB LenDale White also hurt his knee in the 3rd quarter and did not return as his team had to throw to try to come back from a 21-3 deficit.  He has the toe issue coming into the game and now a knee one.  Whether rookie RB Chris Henry delays an appeal of his four-game suspension or not, RB Chris Brown becomes a legitmate pick-up in the event White can't go next week.

Adrian Peterson Break Record; Marty Schottenheimer Laughs
2007-11-05 15:51:00
The 2006 San Diego Chargers ended thier regular season with a 14-2 record and a Running Back who was breaking all records. Yesterday the same team lost to a mediocre Vikings teams and allowed thier rookie Running Back to set the single game rushing record against thier defense. The same team.........well, almost. At the end of the 14-2 season coach Marty Schottenheimer was fired and replaced by Norv Turner. The same Norv Turner who has a 54-70 record and one playoff appearance in eight full seasons as a coach. In my AFC Preview I predicted that the Chargers would win 11 games and the division. The Chargers are 4-4 and are second place in thier division by virtue of a tie breaker with KC. They are clearly not the same powerhouse that they were under Coach Schottenheimer. One of the cases that was maid for Norv was that he was supposed to be such a wonderful mentor to young QB's. However, Philip Rivers looks like he has regressed this season. LT has certainly regressed when y...

I can’t say anything about this guy that I haven’t already said on this site before, but he’s amazing. If he can stay healthy for the duration of his career I feel sorry for the rest of the squads in the NFC ‘norris’. 30 Rushes for 296 yards with 3 touchdowns. Adrian is now the ...
Week Nine Thoughts? Adrian Peterson and The New England Patriots
2007-11-05 00:36:00
Minnesota Vikings' rookie RB Adrian Peterson ripped the San Diego Charger defense for 296 yards and three TDs. The was the single-game rushing record! His totals through eight games are 1,036 yards with 8 rushing TDs and one receiving. What makes him so good? Here is ESPN's take. From my perspective, is he the top pick in the 2008 fantasy football drafts or has he only ascended to the #2 spot? * Speaking of next season's top picks, Patriots' QB Tom Brady has done nothing to weaken the argument that he should be a Top 5 selection. Maybe even Top 3. But I admit to feeling the same disdain I feel for the New England Patriots as I do for Duke University basketball. And as a University of Connecticut basketball fan since 1988, that is quite a bit of nasty emotion. When Robert Mathis sacked Brady on the Patriots' first possession of today's game against Indianapolis, I felt, "Yeah! Kill him!" When the Colts drove the ball, I felt the same. When Asante Samuel committed a 37-yard p...
Vikings Preview
2007-10-27 11:34:00
Must Win?:This has been said a lot so far this year. This term gets thrown around a lot, but really a game is never a must win, unless it eliminates you from contention. If the Eagles want to be serious about possibly making the playoffs, then almost every remaining game is a must win. You figure they have to go 7-3 during the remaining ten to do so. Is this possible? Yes it really is. The Birds have to stop stalling in the red zone, and stop giving games away they should have won. Minnesota is a team that a good team should beat.Birds Improved Run D Gets Major Test:One positive of this Eagles season, is the improvements to the defensive front. A run defense that was considered the teams weakness, is now one of the teams strength. Brodrick Bunkley, Takeo Spikes, Omar Gaither, and Chris Gocong are all new starters. They are a huge reason for the run defense being much better. Trent Cole emerging as a premier DE, Jevon Kearse being healthy, and the improved play of Mike Patterson are ...
Buy or Sell: Adrian Peterson as the 2nd Best RB in the NFL Right Now
2007-10-17 03:39:00
I'm sure all you readers know that I am far from a Vikings fan. However, almost all of my friends are and I've seen quite a bit of Vikings football and I would like to make an announcement: Adrian Peterson is the REAL DEAL!I was sceptical at first, thinking that the Vikes should have taken a QB (probably Quinn) in the 1st round. I now believe that they made the best pick in the draft in getting a guy with arguably the most talent to come out of the draft since LT. Before the season he seemed like a solid/safe choice for NFC ROY being as the Vikings still didn't have much of a QB and a weak group of WRs. In 6 short weeks (5 including a bye) he has proved he is THE pick for NFC ROY, not just a probably candidate.Obviously, being a rookie he has a lot to learn. He's not a great pass catcher yet, and he still has room to work on his blocking. However, I do agree with Complete Sports in saying that, "I think that Adrian Peterson is already the most explosive RB in the NFL with the ba...
Can We Give The Rookie Of The Year To Adrian Peterson Early?
2007-10-15 07:09:00
Without a doubt, Adrian Peterson has stuck out head and shoulders above the rest of the the rookie class of 2007. While Marshawn Lynch has done great in Buffalo with his rough style, Peterson is completely blowing defenses out of the water. Adrian is doing what Reggie Bush was supposed to do last year. Like ...
Monday Mourning Headlines [David Stefanini]
2007-10-15 02:14:00
Here are some headlines you should look forward to seeing tomorrow mourning:Adrian Peterson---ROY, No Doubt. He ran for 224 yards, with 3 touchdowns. As impressive as that is, it's impressive he did it against the Chicago Bears. As of right now, Peterson is leading the league in rushing with 607 yards. Can New England be Stopped? The answer is no; look at the article below for details.Welcome Back LT. You didn't think LT would let Adrian Peterson put up LT numbers alone did you? LT ran for 198 yards with 4 touchdowns. Including the game sealer, 41 yard dash in the 4th quarter. If anyone worried about when the real LT would show up, worry no more; he is here.News Flash to Mangini: Start Clemens. I am a big Chad Pennington fan. He isn't a great QB, but he has the heart of a champion. Unfortunately, that doesn't win games. The Jets are to predictable, it's time to start Clemens. Let him go through his growing pains, and lets take it from there.http://img68.imageshack.u-s/my.php?imag...
Adrian Peterson - Start or Sit?
2007-09-16 05:04:00
Vikings' rookie RB Adrian Peterson is nobody's sleeper.  On average, he was selected 50th overall.  What was not expected was his Week One performance of 103 rushing yards and a 60-yard TD reception following a first half injury to starting RB Chester Taylor.  As a result, many fantasy teams are forced into deciding who to start this weekend - the RB2 they drafted prior to taking Peterson or Peterson himself? What I would do is ask myself, "If Adrian Peterson was the starter from Day One, where would he have been selected?"  How one answers this conjecture leads one towards the decision to sit your RB2 and start Peterson.  If you believe Peterson would have been a top second round/late first round pick, a simple solution is to start him ahead of your current RB2 if that RB2 was selected later than that.  The major issue then becomes the fear every fantasy owner has about the good player you chose to bench - he goes off while Peterson flails. That is t...

Fantasy Football Draft Tips - Adrian Peterson Over-Valued?
2007-08-31 15:55:00
Mock Draft Central offers a Trend Report that helps see which players are moving-up or -down based on changes in ADP. I was interested to see how some of the most popular RBs who are expected to offer 1st or 2nd round value if they can overcome their depth chart issues. Specifically, I wanted to see how fantasy drafts are treating the Falcon's Jerious Norwood since I get the feeling there is a lot of hatin' going on about him. At the same time, the love for Vikings rookie Adrian Peterson is seemingly boundless. I also checked out the Redskins' Ladell Betts if only to justify this guy's projections. Plus, Betts' 2006 was so good that I was curious how he was being treated relative to the other two. The Trend Analysis confirmed what I sensed was occuring. Adrian Peterson has flew-up draftboards while Norwood is falling. At the same time, Betts is essentially ignored in terms of being hot or cold. Is this fair or does it offer some hints at where there is some draft value? PlayerC...

The number one pick of the 2007 NFL draft, Adrian Peterson, has put pen to paper as he signs a $40.5 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Rumor about Adrian Peterson circulating
2007-04-26 17:04:00
...Update... ESPN Radio is now reporting this as well as SI.com .... Peterson could be out for (3) Months if he has surgery, hmmI heard a report today on Fox Sports Radio that RB Adrian Peterson apparently re-injured his collarbone in Oklahoma's bowl game, that it may require surgery and that he could potentially miss playing time next season due to this injury. That my friends, is news worthy. Do the Cleveland Browns brush this news off and draft Adrian any way? The Buffalo Bills did draft Willis McGahee a couple years ago and he wasn't ready to play either. Although he wasn't a Top 5 selection, I'd venture to say it paid off for the Bills.

Draft Special: Adrian Peterson Running Back Oklahoma
2007-04-26 16:55:00
Meet: Adrian Peterson a RB from Oklahoma. First and foremost this guy is an absolute work horse. Weighing in at 216 lbs and standing 6'1, Adrian is the type of back that has deceptive power. In other words, you're on the ground looking at the bottom of his nikes before you know what hit you. Up until his end zone "Summersault", this man had remained relatively injury free, while carrying the load for his Oklahoma Sooners. Due to his collarbone injury, his '06 numbers were a bit skewed. During Peterson's sophomore season, the Sooners absolutely stunk so opposing defenses were keying in on Oklahoma's only offensive weapon: Mr. Peterson. Allow the one and only Footballs Future to provide you with more insight: "From a physical standpoint, it's hard to pick a better specimen than Adrian Peterson. He's big and strong, but still has room for more growth. He couples that size with excellent speed, and very good athleticism. As a freshman, he proved he could carry the load, and e...

Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
2007-04-25 05:57:00
If the Browns don't get Joe Thomas, this would be my next choice. It is an area of need for the Browns, and until a good offensive line is in place, I think that generally a RB would be able to withstand the physical and mental beatings that come with playing behind the Cleveland line better than a QB could (Tim Couch comes to mind).Adrian Peterson is an awesome combination of power and speed, and has been compared to LaDanian Tomlinson and Eric Dickerson. He could be the franchise back the Browns have been searching for since returning to the league, provided the Browns have a good offensive line and he can stay healthy. Both of these are in doubt. Peterson has had a lot of serious injuries, ala Courtney Brown, but has been plagued by a lot of nagging, non-career threatening injuries (more like a Lee Suggs). My biggest fear about drafting him is that he will constantly be nursing some ailment, and I'm not the only one. On the other hand, he could be very healthy in the NFL where ...

Professor's NFL Draft Pick #7 Possibility (Part V): Adrian Peterson
2007-04-11 01:43:00
Mel Kiper, in his newest mock draft, which was shown on NFL live on Tuesday, but not updated on the ESPN website, has our Vikings selecting Adrian Peterson with the 7th overall pick.  Peterson is listed as Kiper as the third best player available behind Johnson and Russell.  It doesn't seem to make a ton of sense on the surface for the Vikings to select a RB; however, our number one priority is getting a PLAYMAKER in this draft, and Peterson is, no doubt, a bona fide playmaker.  I realize that we already have Chester Taylor, but as "Paper Champs" wrote earlier this offseason, one thing that this year's playoff teams had in common was a two-man backfield.  A combo of Peterson and Taylor coming out of our backfield would be a welcomed sight to see.  With that said, here is the book on Peterson.p.s.  Can we please sign Eric Moulds already??  I don't think "Paper Champs"' boy Billy McMullin is going to cut it...&n...
