Agrarian Reform approval and regional strikes

Yesterday 4 of the 9 departments of Bolivia held a regional strike, 2 were fully succesfull and 2 were only partially accepted by people in the regions. It is significant to say that one of the regions to strike was Cochabamba, where the current president and his political party started their political roads. The government now has proposed a dialogue with the regional civical movements, these have placed a deadline until Sunday to have a formal answer from the government. MAS has, as usual, basically ignored the social protest.It is very interesting to notice that this past week the agrarian reform was approved in the Bolivian senate. Why is it interesting? Because of how it was done, it was a cunning move. Two senators of the opposition voted in favor of the MAS law. Why? We will probably never oficially know, but I personally think (as many in the local media say) that these two senators were bribed into voting in favor of the law.
