The Fairfax facility produces GM's hot-selling Chevrolet Malibu, but has been idle since Local 31 went on strike on May 5. According to Automotive News, the biggest disagreement in contract talks has been over "the role of seniority in job placement." The strike at the Fairfax plant — which also produces the Saturn Aura — has cost GM about 11,500 units of production. Through the first four months of the year, Malibu sales were up 18 percent while GM's overall sales were down 12 percent.

I signed a five year lease. When I got my estimate in, though, it came in at $40,000.
