It is made in Korea and I mention in previous post of $1K lens & $2K body in slr. And it gets the marking of 1:10, 1:8, 1:5, 1:4, the closest distance seem to be around 6" and so far I have pretty satisfied close up shots with it. I am newbie to Macro and I don't have any macro in my other lens and it is kind of odd to have macro at 28mm as I don't see it that often but I always see the popular ones as in 90mm, 105mm, 50mm and 200mm.
