U.N. Nuclear Inspectors to Visit Syria
2008-06-03 05:31:00
At the Euphrates site, Mr. Albright said, the agency?s inspectors should look for evidence like special piping, old foundations and chemical traces of graphite, a basic reactor building material. ?If the Syrians think that a quick visit and some interviews? will clear up the nuclear suspicions, he said, ?they?re sadly mistaken.? The senior official in Vienna said ...
Shaun Suisham: Ethan Albright is the best player in the NFL
2008-05-22 19:48:00
This is a post about our kicker (hat tipped to Extreme Skins; if you are on the prowl for Redskins related news, you could do a lot worse than the ES Breaking News Forum). Patrick Maloney at the London Free Press caught up with Suisham via email and got him to answer a few of the critical questions we've all been waiting for, such as: SUISHAM SAYS 1) My all-time favourite movie is . . . Tombstone 2) In the movie about my life, I will be played by . . . Matt Damon -- according to my wife 3) My favourite food is . . . Fresh fruit 4) I drive a . . . F150 SuperCrew 5) I think the best player in the NFL is . . . Ethan Albright (the Redskins' long snapper) 6) I could retire happy if . . . Our family was healthy and I didn't have a mortgage. I, too, appreciate Tombstone and would be played by Matt Damon (it's a looks thing) though I have to part ways with Shazzam on... fresh fruit? Oh really, Shaun? Well then I'm calling you out and demanding you take a giant delicious yikes bite ou...
Ivan Albright: That Which I Should Have Done I Did Not Do (The Door)
2008-04-13 19:18:00
When I think of artists, the word “patience” doesn’t usually come to mind.  Many I know are impulsive, impatient people.  I know this because I would put myself in that category.  Ivan Albright spent 10 years between 1931 and 1941 on this painting.  It measures 8 foot tall and more impressively, it’s incredibly detailed. Albright ...

What is McCune-Albright syndrome?
2008-03-16 22:37:00
What is McCune-Albright syndrome?McCune-Albright syndrome is a disease that affects the bones, skin, and endocrine (hormone) system. It results from a change (or mutation) in a gene that occurs by chance in the womb. Because it occurs by chance, it is not inherited and passed down from one generation to the next. What are the symptoms of McCune-Albright syndrome?People with McCune-Albright syndrome may have symptoms related to bones, the endocrine system, or skin. The symptoms can range from mild to severe.Bone symptoms * Those with McCune-Albright syndrome often have polyostotic fibrous dysplasia (pronounced pa-lee-oh-STOT-ik FIE-bruss diss-PLAY-jsha), which occurs when normal bone is replaced by softer, fibrous tissue. When this happens in weight-bearing bones, such as the leg bones, it can cause limping, deformity, and fractures. * People with McCune-Albright syndrome often have this dysplasia condition in the bones of the skull and upper jaw, so these bones grow unevenly. ...
Ethan Albright: Still a Redskin
2008-02-18 19:25:00
Update [2008-2-18 17:19:45 by Skin Patrol]: More money quotes from Albright per drWNC per, I'm told, the Local Greensboro paper. That's a good enough source for me! LS Ethan Albright continued his trend of being the first player re-signed by the club in the off season, saying yesterday that he signed the one-year offer sent to him in the mail "Same contract as last year and that's more than enough for me,"... "I'm the unofficial NFL record-holder for minimum contracts for someone with (tenure)," he said. "There's significant salary-cap savings in signing me to those deals. In terms of NFL dollars, I'm at the bottom of the totem pole, but in terms of what I ever thought I'd make in my lifetime, I'm as happy as I can be with it." Albright = Core Redskin, if that term can mean anything. So maybe I'm just cheerleading the greatest rock eating long snapper to ever take the field, but why can't Ethan Albright get love? Big news from the Post and Redskins Insider is: ...and...

Albright-Sunny One Day [2007]The debut from the duo Albright, featuring Chris Parks and Vivian Sessoms, is a collaborative effort that showcases the twosome's writing, arranging and production abilities and features Vivian on lead & backing vocals with most of the instruments played by Mr Parks.Lead singer Vivian Sessoms has a voice that is beautiful, loved, and blessed. The first track from Albright's Sunny One Day release is entitled "Dunno' What." Well I dunno about you dear reader, but this is organic soul stripped down to it's bare essentials and it sounds superb!Soft Cell's early 1980's classic "Tainted Love" gets smacked, flipped, and rubbed down into a funky 21st century number called "Tainted", while the following track, "Love Can Turn You Around", is a beautiful ode to love in it's purest form. Quite simply, add Albright's Sunny One Day this to your collection. It is a great combination of quality production and out-of-this-world vocals, and is a great new find ...
Redemption now spelled: Ethan Albright
2008-01-25 01:19:00
Reader(s) are asked to recall this ESPN Page 2 Article pointing out that our very own Ethan Albright, the Red Snapper himself, was once considered of low quality by a video game: Ethan Albright is good at his job. Very good. In fact, the Washington Redskins' long snapper is probably better at what he does -- blindly hurling a ball between his legs, under extreme duress, with zero margin for error -- than most of us will ever be at anything.... Within the pixilated world of the popular NFL video game, Albright isn't merely another anonymous special teamer. No such luck. According to the game's Byzantine individual skill ratings -- which measure everything from foot speed to spin-move ability to a player's effect on team morale -- he's the hands-down, rock-bottom worst player in the NFL. Worst player... like a fox! At the time, Albright faked apathy: "Honestly, I don't know what to say about the Madden ratings," Albright says with a laugh. "Some guys are into it. I'm not. Doe...

Albright Sensei return to Japan to train with Sasaki Shihan
2007-08-22 19:32:00
Jeff Albright and Miho Shiraki Sensei returned to Japan in February to study with some of the masters of Aikido. They trained with Masando Sasaki Shihan, an 8th degree Master Instructor, who is often thought of as the "Deepak Chopra" of Japan. As a Shinto priest, Sasaki Sensei recognizes a strong correlation of Aikido techniques and philosophical principles and those of the Universe. He teaches others how to apply these Universal principles to one's daily life. At 80 years old Sasaki Sensei has rededicated himself to teaching these principles, as he now tries to instill them in his grandchildren.Jeff Albright and Miho Shiraki Sensei deliberately sought out training from Sasaki Sensei, not only to enhance their study and practice of Aikido, but also their understanding and practice of Japanese yoga, meditation, and conscious breathing. Furthermore, they seek to recognize how these principles impact Japanese culture as a whole, and even how these principles influence Japanese calligr...
Shiragami Sensei and Albright Sensei: A Shared Vision for Aikido
2007-08-14 15:36:00
Jeff Albright Sensei and wife Miho Shiraki Sensei recently visited their Shisho (a.k.a. mentor), Junichiro Shiragami Shihan in Japan. Shiragami Shihan currently lives in the Wakayama Prefecture of Japan, where he also runs his Aikido dojo. Coincidentally, the Wakayama Prefecture is also the birthplace of the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba. Shiragami Shihan has recently joined the ranks of only a handful of full-time professional Aikido instructors in Japan. He had previously owned and operated a printing company until he achieved his dojo's goal of having over 100 students, at which time he sold his successful business, and chose to place his full attention on teaching the art of Aikido.Dr. Albright received one-on-one-training from Shiragami Shihan while on a recent trip to Japan visiting Miho's family. Shiragami Sensei's technique is an amazing dichotomy of power and softness. Throughout each and every executed technique he constantly monitors and readjusts to his partner'...
The Strongest Technique in Aikido by Miho Albright
2007-08-10 13:51:00
What is the strongest technique in the martial art of Aikido? I'll bet that every Aikido student has thought of this question at least once. We learn many different techniques in our Aikido practice, but which one is the strongest? The first technique? The forth? An arm bar? Wrist lock? Or maybe, a hip throw? To help answer this question, I'd like to share one of my favorite stories about Aikido. One curious student asks his master this question, "Sensei, what is the strongest technique in Aikido?" The master responds, "The greatest technique in Aikido is the ability to become friends with the one who attacked you."I believe this is the essence of Aikido. Aikido is often translated as "the art of harmony," and that is why an Aikido dojo has such a different feeling to it than many other kinds of martial arts schools. Through Aikido, we learn to create harmony... not conflict. It is a great feeling to recognize that we can choose to be harmonious with any given situation, rather tha...
Daniels, Albright learn how to argue penalties professionally
2007-05-29 17:37:00
Interesting story per the Washington Times: It might not help them get any calls this season, but thanks to Ethan Albright and Phillip Daniels, the Washington Redskins should be the NFL's best-informed team when it comes to the rules. That's because Albright and Daniels were two of just three active players who served as officiating interns during NFL Europa's training camp this spring. I don't know how this is going to give Ethan Albright much of an edge as the long snapper, not that he needs any. But this definitely enables Phillip Daniels to walk the fine line between legal and illegal moves, perhaps allowing for advantage. "I'd love to get every NFL player in a striped shirt at some point because it really shows them what we're looking for during a play, how much you can hold and grasp, for example," [Supervisor Jim] Diapolous said. That's explicit. There is a certain amount of holding the refs will allow for, and they communicated some of that to Phillip Daniels. The mor...
Victory for the Albright Knox!
2007-03-16 00:00:00
The Albright Knox Gallery was victorious today. The State Supreme Court dismissed the Buffalo Art Keepers’ lawsuit ‘in its entirety’. The Gallery and the board have now been vindicated in both the public and by a court of law. The membership’s vote on Monday was 3:1 in favor of the deaccession. Now the ...
Art at the Albright Knox
2007-03-09 18:16:04
In the past few weeks, I?ve learned a lot about art. I?ve learned more about art than I ever thought I would know without going to school for art history. I?ve also learned a lot about the politics that exist in this community and how sometimes, people are willing to stand in the ...
Albright: Through Iraq War, U.S. Lost Moral Authority
2007-02-23 22:26:01
Albright wants everyone to remember her as the last great Secretary of State: […] former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said that through the war in Iraq, America has lost its moral authority, and it would be up to the next American president to restore the “goodness of American power.” “I think that Iraq is going to go down in history as the greatest disaster in American foreign policy,” Albright said Thursday, with former U.S. President Jimmy Carter at her side in one of a series of “conversations at the Carter center.” Carter said that since Albright’s tenure as secretary of state, “there has been a reduction almost all over the world in trust and esteem by foreigners toward Americans.” That’s not all, guess where we get this news item today? The website of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (via MEMRI). These self-congratulating dummies have no idea what their words do to help the enemy. They ca...
