2009-06-10 04:31:00 Long before Alien vs. Predator (2004) and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007) was released by 20th Century Fox, there's probably a similar movie preceding the sequel. Maybe, at that time, the sci-fi movie makers didn't have similar perception (or rather fantasy) of what we think about what suppose to be predator and how the alien should look like. Dinosaurs was the hugest, strongest and most aggressive carnivore ever existed and so they thought it made a great predator character. What about the alien? Surely this guy got the ugly-looking face, big-ass brain that showed how intelligent he is and wore its most futuristic shielding attire. I'm amused by Ames Bros retro sci-fi illustration of the battle between Alien vs Predator (as you see on this tee - $27 @ Anonymous Venice). The imagination we have today and in past about the battle and the two characters are completely different and yet it feel so similar! Now, how both characters will look like in next 20 years?

It's not green men, martians, or anything like that, but the organic basis of life, in my opinion, and the opinions of some others, is that there's a big possiblity that life exists on Mars in a very primitive form.Many conditions on Mars prohibit life from evolving, but not from existing. Many phenomenon that occur on Mars are, if we observe them on this planet, of an organic nature. And there are plenty of inorganic ways that these can be achieved, but my hypthesis is that if their are multiple processes occuring that appear to be of an organic nature, and you can explain each one individually in an inorganic way, doesn't the likelihood of life increase with each seemingly organic process?For a more detailed post definitely check out my previous post about why I think theres life on Mars.
