The sound has to 95% nothing to do with bossa nova thus this was made long before the new beat virus hit the states. But this is a proof of the greatness of Laurindo and the fact that LAURINDO was the one to make bossa nova the great success LONG before João and his team of mates came to Carnigie hall in 1962. He presented it to the superstars of music. The record is almost all jazz but this contains te coolest version of Bahia ever made. And remember this was made in 1951! We have Laurindo to thank for the whole BUG of bossa nova and he was the one introducing it to the world.
