Open to visitors from Europe, US and Australia, the competition invited photographers to upload their original photos of creepy and bizarre scenes witnessed in parks. Prizes include the chance to win soundtrack CDs and ultimately an Xbox 360 console. Online voting will determine the photo of the week, with each winner receiving an original soundtrack CD composed by Olivier Deriviere and featuring the Hungarian choir. I remember playing it on my 486 DX 4, with 8mb of RAM, a 250 mb hard drive and a 2x cd-rom drive, a 8bit adlib card...oh and a 14" black and white monitor :PYep...those were the good old days. Sigh..where has simplicity gone?? Now Fast Forward a decade and a half later and we're looking at the next gen of Alone on the Dark. This has truly been a series which has scared the crap out of me every single time.Atari recently delayed Alone in the Dark's release date to May of this year, which will hopefully give developer Eden Studios the time it needs to squash the handful of bugs that were reported by gamespot. Stay tuned for impressions of a more complete build in the coming months.Frankly I'm not very impressed by the trailer above. PS3 Alone in the Dark Not Delayed After All
2007-09-07 22:26:00 Earlier this week, Eurogamer reported that the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark would be coming out after the 360 and PC versions, but Atari has stepped in to say that it was all just a misunderstanding. The conjecture started when Eurogamer noticed that the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark had been left off Atari's most recent release list. A quick follow up got them the response that "[the 360 and PC versions] are the first to be released," with the PS3 version trailing along sometime afterwards. But apparently the PS3 version was supposed to be on the list all along, and the whole thing is just one big oops. All three versions--PC, 360, and PS3--will launch simultaneously some time "soon."
