2008-02-15 19:34:00 A glowing America Ferrera hit the red carpet at he NAACP Image Awards, where she went home with the prize of Outstanding Actress in a Comedy. On stage to accept her award, America expressed her gratitude for the recognition, saying, "It feels really good to be in this room with such wonderful, beautiful, colorful faces." That's how I feel about perusing the red carpet here. The awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, with D.L. Hughley playing host. I LOVE that CCH Pounder showed up to the event with a giant, red, heart-shaped purse. Probably part of the reason that I love it so much is that she's got that big grin on her face in stark contrast to the serious characters she always seems to play on-screen. Also, her name is so awesome. Kate Walsh was there, with "Grey's Anatomy" up for some awards and I LOVE her dark hair. Her make-up and dress are flawless as well. The move earned the title of the highest-profile casualty of the writer?s strike.
