I made it safely and easily to Abby's flat in Islington, London on Thursday night, and the next day we romped around London. First to Abby's favorite area, Portobello Market - kind of like a daily large flea market on a small street - they had everything there including a lot of vintage trinkets and clothes. We bought a bread pudding-cake thing from a street vendor, and made our way to Regents Park. The sun came out and we walked around the immaculate gardens, spring flowers and their smells were everywhere. We rested on a park bench in the sun and we both got a little tan - in London, who would have thought! We were a little nervous about our travel to Amsterdam, so we went back to her flat and got ready and packed and left early for our trip.
