2008-02-06 14:11:00 This J.Mendel collection used darker shades and a deep palette, that we are not used to seeing from Gilles Mendel, although there was one rose chiffon dress to please those hoping to walk the red carpet at the Oscars.A lot of fur was used in this collection, mostly on coats, but it was also used to trim ensemble adding extra detail.Bows were used at pockets, by the models which was an interesting twist.Dresses are where Mendel shines, in colors ranging from copper to mauve. My favourite was the black metallic gown with satin bows.
