2007-07-31 12:54:00 Non avevo ancora ascoltato "An End Has A Start", il nuovo album degli Editors uscito alla fine di giugno. L'ho fatto in questi giorni ed č stato amore al primo ascolto. Sono rimasto veramente colpito dalla bellezza di questo disco, i quattro musicisti di Birmingham hanno fatto davvero un lavoro eccezionale.Tom Smith, cantante della band, a proposito dell'album dice: "Si parla di morte in quest'album, a volte in maniera morbosa ma sempre sincera. Nell'ultimo anno la morte ha toccato me e i miei amici in diversi modi. Realizzare che tutto ha una fine č importante, e penso che abbiamo dato il nostro meglio per fare qualcosa che incuta timore ma che allo stesso tempo sia magnifico e incoraggiante". E' questa l'atmosfera in cui ci si trova immersi ascoltando "An End Has A Start". La voce di Tom Smith č capace di emozionare con la sua interpretazione profonda e intensa dei sentimenti messi in gioco nei vari brani. Which is to say, they are a neo-new wave act heavily influenced by New Order.The Editors aren't the most original band but their strength lies within the crooning of lead singer Tom Smith. Smith's vocals are similar to Jim Morrison doing his best Morrissey impression.I feel about the Editors the same as I do Interpol.
