Anathema - a natural disaster (2003)
2007-10-12 06:13:00 Pues muy contento de haber sido invitado a Rock & Bloguear con ustedes, y poderles compartir un poco de mi forma de vivir, sentir, y valorar la mùsica.Estuve pensando en cuàl disco serìa el mejor para empezar mi participaciòn en este espacio. Y de verdad no tarde mucho en dicidir que el "A Natural Disaster" de Anathema serìa la mejor forma de comenzar.......Para los que no conocen mucho de esta banda, les platico un poco de ella.Quinteto de Inglaterra, especificamente de Liverpool, formado en los años 90'tas por la familia Cavanagh. A este grupo pordría considerarcele de la camada de Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Amorphis, y My Dying Bride; que fueron las precursoras del Doom Metal en Europa (metal más lento, pesado, depresivo y melancólico) .Obviamente, Anathema fué influenciado por este género pero nunca llegó a sonar a un Doom tradicional con voces gruturales y guitarras lentas pero poderosas, para mi gusto, mas bién encontraron un estilo propio, entre el Doom y el Rock progresivo....

Anathema Will Play New Material On Porcupine Tree Tour
2007-09-04 05:03:00 porcupine tree have kindly asked anathema to support them on their full european tour in the autumn.. this tour is still in the planning stage and will cover alot of territories. anathema have decided that - rather than rushing into the studio to finish the album in time for the tour, (and not being able to work with the producer we would like) - it will actually benefit the band and the new album to play the new songs live before recording them. so you can expect to hear songs like 'angels walk among us' 'paradigm shift' 'hindsight' 'get off, get out' 'lightning song' 'one day' 'summernight horizon' 'further' 'a simple mistake' and others on the tour with PT..our new american manager is helping to put everything in place for us to record and release this ambitious music. he is negotiating deals in the USA and advising us on our best way to go. the response from record companies has been very positive. we intend to record approximately 85 minutes of music for this ...
