The Annapolis Conference: More Hurtful Than Helpful?
2007-11-28 01:04:00 Yes, then Israelis and Palestiians appear to be finally making some progress. But it is hard to be optimistic. Beyond the Cusp (a fantastic blog/blogger) takes a cold, hard look at reality. What happens if Annapolis does succeed? He goes on to make 3 main points: 1. Implementation of the agreement would be extremely difficult 2. Once Israel withdraws from the Palestinian territories (which will be certainly part of the agreement), Hamas will take power from Fatah and declare any agreement invalid. 3. If the agreement appears unsuccessful, Iran and/or Syria could take advantage of the situation and could possibly invade Israel, leading to a regional war.Hits the nail on the head.

Annapolis Conference & Syria's Truth
2007-11-26 23:21:00 If Syria switched teams, from its current alignment with Iran to the U.S. aligned Arab states led by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and the Gulf states, it would be a diplomatic masterstroke. It would isolate Iran and cut loose its key terrorist proxies: Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the lesser Damascus-based groups. If it could be done, it might even be worth paying Syria’s price - return of the Golan Heights and wiping the slate clean on past Syrian support for terrorism,...(read more)

2007-11-16 21:01:00 As time draws near for the opening of the Annapolis conference called by the United States in order to deal with Israel and Palestinian issues, the rhetoric of Hamas grows increasingly strident. A mass rally of 10,000 people in Gaza demanded that President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority avoid making any concessions which infringed on ...
A Prescription for War & Genocide -- Stop the Annapolis Conference Now!!!
2007-10-14 14:16:00 The history of international conferences and congresses --with or without the "peace" label-- is not one to inspire confidence. Think of the conferences of Berlin [circa 1878], Versailles [circa 1918-1920], and Munich [1938]. They only laid the groundwork for future wars and massacres, the Second World War in the case of the Munich Conference. Today US secretary of state, Condoleeza Rice, arrived in Israel to pressure the basically unfit, incompetent, corrupt olmert government of Israel to make more concessions to the Arabs. She does this in the name of setting up a "palestinian state" for a fictitious people known as "palestinians" in the international media and diplomatic circles, claiming that such a state would bring peace with Israel in its wake. Yet, there never was a "palestinian" people in all history. Those now called palestinians are in fact Arabs and call themselves Arabs. The charter of the PLO states in Article I that the "Palestinian Arab people is part of the Arab nat...
