2008-11-25 09:00:00
Puella recently introduced its first pair of leggings and it's exclusively at Anthropologie. A frilly lace burn-out design pattern graces this unbelievably soft, lightweight pair of leggings. Add variety and texture to your leggings collection.

During our home shopping expedition, we stopped at Victoria Gardens mall. Its one of these new all-outside malls with mostly upscale shops. It would have been more fun if it hadn’t been 106 degrees outside, but we did manage to stop at Thomas Station - an all Thomas the train store, and Anthropologie. That place is an inspiration wonderland for sewing. There is so much cool stuff in there. We saw these fun vases, coasters and picture frames made from magazine pages rolled tightly into thin strips and glued together. First of all, great recycling. Second, I just know that those were made by some women using what they have to create something cool and how awesome that it’s being sold in this fancy store where t-shirts are $70! There was a bird cage made of fabric and wire that seemed so simple to make, but was really lovely. It was selling for $108! I’m sure I could make something similar. Lord knows I’ve got enough jewelry wire and fabric floating around my h...

Anthropologie?s ?Blue Sky Morning? knee length boots - not just for morning
2007-11-08 13:28:00
Anthropologie's 'Blue Sky Morning' knee length boots - not just for mornings This is perhaps not the most exciting design you'll ever see on a boot, but isn't it refreshing to see a pair of knee-highs in a colour other than black or brown? "Refreshing" is actually a good word to describe these boots from Anthropologie - everything from the name to the colour makes me think of blue skies and sunny mornings, and given that we're right at the start of what will probably be a long, dark, winter, that can only be a good thing as far as I'm concerned! They're $468 and, somewhat unusually, zip up the back, rather than at the side.
Anthropologie + Dinner + Pedicab = Carnegie Hall
2007-10-11 05:28:00
Oodles of fun tonight. I stopped at Anthropologie to pick up a few more knobs for the storage doors (on sale, $2.95 each - yay!) and then met the Fiance for dinner. After dinner we had to race up to Carnegie Hall and the only available cab was a pedicab. Scary! We had fun and I took dorky pics, what could be better? The show at Carnegie Hall was a tribute to the work of Elton John & Bernie Taupin. Sitting in Carnegie Hall is like sitting in a wedding cake. It's just so beautiful. It's all white and gold leaf and just stunning. The seats are mohair for Christ's sake. We got to see Shawn Colvin and Jill Sobule and Phoebe Snow and Aimee Mann and several others. There was a band (think they are unsigned) called Fools for April that had such a warm/lush sound. Was happy to get a free cd from them when I left, looking forward to checking them out tomorrow. Walking down the stairs I realized that Zach Braff from Scrubs/Garden State was walking next to me. Meow. He's cute on television/...
Boots with bows on the toes - why Anthropologie, why?
2007-09-28 16:11:00
Boots with bows on the toes - why Anthropologie, why? I couldn?t wear these boots. They?re a great colour, the heel?s a nice height and the calves look quite roomy (a requirement for me!) But what?s with those bows on the toes? They?d drive me mad. I know I?d just be able to see them from the corner of my eye and keep wondering what was stuck to my boot. The bow aside though, I do like these ?Keepsake? cocoa leather boots, US$288, from Anthropologie.
A is for Anthropologie
2007-09-27 02:50:00
Like the droves of female bloggers before me, I am absolutely smitten with Anthropologie. I just had to file away this lovely little ad campaign that appeared in their online storefront a few weeks ago. For me a fall wardrobe is synonymous with textbooks, old brick libraries and lecture halls, and what better way to capture the essence than with these scholarly outfits. So artfully composed, in such somber yet elegant tones, they are perfectly accented by colorful little details. Biology's creamy floral specimens blossom against yellow-green and Writing's "burnished orange" pumps add a subtle flourish of their own. Coincidently, History's smart navy frock happens to be my favorite.Images are courtesy Anthropologie.com.

Inspired from the early 19th century, this bed frame from Anthropoligie exudes grace and class.  The Victorian inspired furniture is crafted so perfectly, as  evident in its sculptured wrought-iron framing. Durability is also ensured, as the bed frame is treated with anti-rust wax coating. The canopy measures 16″ in diameter. Add soft satins or ...
Anthropologie?s Bright Red Bed Frame

This East meets West inspired bed frame from Anthropologie cost a little less than $2,000. Its made of aluminum frame and designed with lines and curves, familiar to Asian designs. The striking red color will surely make your bed the centerpiece of the room. And you may choose to get the matching side table. And if red ...
Anthropologie Place Mats
2007-08-09 16:50:00
I was browsing through the new Fall collection at Anthropologie, and I found these adorable placemats. They also have some matching napkins, but I think they are a little too busy. I would match them with some simple solid napkins and have the cutest table ever!

Anthropologie - Timeless
2007-04-10 09:13:00
I discovered Anthropologie years ago, while I was still a poor college student at Berkeley. It was always one of those stores I could only admire from afar. The style so elegant, the cost so unaffordable.A few year ago, I finally got past my shop-at-Ross-only mentality and made my first purchase at this store. After some digging around the sales rack, I found out that the out of season items can go as low as $40 for a top, and $30 for pants. This wasn't much more than what I was used to before. After I moved to San Francisco, I was lucky enough to live close to a local store. It is a short Bart ride downtown, one block away from the Powell Street Station. For those of you who's never heard of the store, it's owned by the same folks who run Urban Outfitters . It is generally know for its feminine design made with comfortable and sturdy material. The blue dress cost me $98, not part of the sales rack, but just under my budget for this shopping trip. It's been a warm spring in San F...

Spotlight!...Anthropologie
2007-03-14 15:05:00
Anthropologie has to be one of my favorite stores. Think of it as a higher end Urban Outfitters (if Urban could get any more expensive, lol). Anthropologie treats clothes not only as being functional, but also as being works of art. They choose merchandise that is as unique as it is well crafted. Their prices are a tad bit expensive, so either you save up for that special piece, or shop their sales. Anthropologie has great sales!
