I was looking for Mark Longmire's Romance Novel Covers and found he's a Planet of the Apes fan; in fact he has retold the story in a most unique way. I thought my friend April (Ape) would enjoy that site, so one thing led to another and now I've got all these monkey and ape links and pictures. I guess you could say I'm just monkeyin' around today! The Monkey Bar One of the first things I found was a great essay on how we live our lives called The Monkeysphere. Cakes decorated for monkey parties. The bad news for monkeys is about the banana supply. Thinking about monkeys reminded me of this Sock Monkey Movie. Influencias que van desde el rock progresivo de los 70's hasta el glam rock y un aire a comedia musical o cabaret pop lleno de falsetes y coros. Entre la épica de "Queen" y la música de aires futuristas del seńor David Bowie (como dicen en su myspace "a futurist orchestra?") . 2007-10-29 01:58:00 Interestingly enough, this isn't even the first time we've seen a gizmo take a note from Nokia's 7260, but this particular copycat simply handles DMV, MP3, MPX and WMA formats, features a wee 1.5-inch color display and includes a built-in FM tuner to boot. Golden Crystal Technology's KI-T12 didn't quite make the cut for the infamous keepin' it real fake list, but even though it's not a straight-up rip, there's no denying the similitude. Per usual, you'll have to send in an inquiry to find out how much these things run, but honestly, why would you want to do that? Furthermore, you'll find six equalizer presets, your own electronic pet game (Tamagotchi, reincarnated!) and a text viewer.

2007-10-27 07:30:00 We are on a mini tour of sorts. This past Wednesday, we drove to Bard college, 2 hours north of New York City, to play a show before heading to the CMJ festival. When we arrived on campus at 8:15 pm Wednesday night, we didn't have the name or phone number for the local promoter. We had no address for the venue. We drove to the student center, where we had played with the Slits about one year ago. There seemed to be nothing going on. Okay. We pulled over and called our booking agent. She provided us with the name and phone number of the local promoter. I got the promoter on the phone. The promoter was on campus but she didn't have an address for a venue and based on the name of street where we were, she couldn't tell us how to get to the venue. We drove intuitively toward where she was and saw her standing on the street. She waved us down a long dirt road. "Do you want to come in the van with us?"
