Last year, they say 23,000 people attended over four days...and it's not such a big space, so with an eye on the clock, we (me and Steve-my husband aka "Show Dog") got there at 10 am, when it opened. When I go to design shows that are not kitchen-centric, sometimes kitchen items, like major appliances, are displayed or a few cabinet companies here and there. I don't really stop at those exhibits. What I think is more interesting are other manufacturers which are NOT necessarily kitchen focused. The idea is for the user to see the architectural drawings of a building to get an idea of layout and size, and they can then click on various arrows to see a photo of what the room looks like from that vantage point. Quite smart idea I have to say; it’s maybe not totally revolutionary but will definitely help the reader to get a better experience of the layout of the house. 2007-12-17 04:37:00 Vinh Nghiem Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City is one of the largest pagodas in Vietnam.It covers an area of 6,000 square meters and was constructed between 1964 and 1971 under the design guidelines of Vietnamese architect, Nguyen Ba Lang.Two Vietnamese monks, Thich Tam Giac and Thich Thanh Kiem, originally conceptualized the idea of building a large Buddhist center in Southern Vietnam.They had come to Saigon, present-day HCMC, from the north in 1964 to spread Buddhism and visualized a temple of worship that could be made from long-lasting concrete instead of traditional wood.The monks modified a version of wooden Vinh Nghiem Pagoda in Bac Giang Province which was built during the Ly Dynasty (1010-1225).The newly-built pagoda thus became the first in Southern Vietnam to have similar architecture of the old Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, but with concrete as its main building material.The pagoda has since become a popular place of worship for Buddhists, especially on the first and fifteenth of the luna...
