The plan was to get his last single, To Life, played by as many radio stations as possible at a specific time and then replayed, if possible.They pulled it off. To Life premiered on the country charts this week at number 49, giving Arnold a charted hit in each of the last seven decades.Arnold's first hit was 1945's Each Minute Seems a Million Years and was followed by one of the most amazing chart runs of any genre. 67 consecutive top ten hits. 61 weeks at number one over a fourteen month period. 128 top forty country hits.His consecutive decade run almost came to an end at five (40's through 80's) until a duet with LeAnn Rimes on his own Cattle Call made it to number eighteen in 1999. It was his only hit of the 90's as, most likely, To Life will be his only hit of this decade.

Arnold had been in an assisted-living center near Nashville and had lost his wife of 66 years, Sally Gayhart Arnold, back in March.Eddy Arnold is considered to have had the greatest chart run in country music history. Between June 1945 and January 1982, he placed 128 records in the country top 40, including 28 that went to number one and 92 that hit the top ten. He holds the record for most consecutive top ten hits with 67. Mr. Arnold had an incredible voice–smooth, smooth, smooth. Take a listen to “Cattle Call” for proof. Although his voice was unique and unmistakably his, it wasn’t gimmicky in the least. He could just have easily been another Sinatra or Dean Martin…that’s how clear and clean his voice was. For proof, again just listen to one of his classics, “Make the World Go Away”.

2008-03-04 16:05:00 Actor and Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear in the next Terminator sequel - in digital form.Schwarzenegger, who has starred in the three Terminator movies to date, has granted studio Halycon permission to use his likeness in the upcoming movie.Earlier this week, Halycon entrepreneurs Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson announced they have bought the rights to the Terminator franchise and are planning to have a fourth film in cinemas by 2009.Anderson says: “We’ll be using computer altered stock images of Arnold. That way we can span his entire career, from the frightening ’80s era Terminator to the ice cool T2 version.”However, the actor, turned political heavyweight will still be personally involved in the next episode, and a further two instalments after that, of the series.His representative Annabelle Gross reports: “He’s signed on as executive producer for all three pictures, and we are in talks for further appearance licensing.”Source: ShowBizSpy
