Sin ser, para nada, innovador, Ashbury Heights fusionan lo mejor del synthpop ochentero, con una pizca de gótico y toda la frescura y desparpajo de la escena electroclash actual. En una mezcla donde brillan con luz propia las voces, en especial la de él, Anders H. No es una voz perfecta, tampoco es original. Recuerda a esa manera tan espontánea que tenían de cantar los cantantes de antiguos clásicos del techno pop, como Fad Gadget o The Human League, y tiene un "algo" muy atractivo que engancha y que cuaja perfectamente con las melodías electropoperas.
