Supreme X Bad Brains
2008-04-21 10:28:00 Supreme recently has teamed up with the legendary Bad Brains, founder of hardcore punk movement, to produce a collection of clothes and sneakers which inspired by the group. The collection consist of 3 Vans Half-Cabs, 2 t-shirts and a Harrington jacket comes in variety colourways. This collection will be put on shelves on April 24th at LA and NYC Supreme chapters and April 26th-27th for Supreme flagships in Japan. More details of the collection after the jump.

Bad Brains Video: 'Give Thanks and Praise' & 'Jah Love'
2007-09-10 08:01:00 Bad Brains' first video off their latest album, 'Build a Nation,' was filmed at this summer's Sasquatch Festival against the beautiful backdrop that is George, Washington. Produced by Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch and directed by System of a Down's Shavo, the video contains music from songs 'Give Thanks and Praises,' and 'Jah Love.' Shavo said he wanted to "capture what they are about, which is a certain intensity" with this video, which he described as "glorious film style" and "punk meets reggae."Bad Brains themselves, however, had a slightly lighter take on the shoot. "We like the Black Bon Jovi in this video," Darryl Jenifer told Spinner. "All slow-mowed off the bus and s***, locks blowing in the wind like we were opening for Heart on Don Kirschner's 'Rock Concert.'"And you'll find photos on Spinner here.

New Music: Interpol & Bad Brains

You are either in the “like them” or “don’t like them” camp with this band and they didn’t do anything from Turn On the Bright Lights to Antics to sway anybody from one camp to the next. And thus it continues on Our Love to Admire. Sounds like Interpol. If anything the songs are a tad bit slower with the exception of the already released single “The Heinrich Maneuver”. Standout song for me is “Wrecking Ball”. Weird tacked on trying to do something different song is album ender “Lighthouse.” Though not different enough to suggest actual change. 7 out of 10. Straight out of left field. Didn’t even know they were recording. Musically this is reminiscent of Quickness more than any other album. Unfortunately while a lot of people love that album, I do not.
