2008-05-09 18:33:00 It looks like TopShop have taken inspiration for their Floral Zip Jacket and skirt from Balenciaga's Spring 2008 collection.The jacket is very similar to the Balenciaga jacket, as they both have the structured puff sleeves, high neck and blue floral colour element.The TopShop ensemble cost £100 in total, whereas the Balenciaga skirt alone cost £915.I have tried the TopShop ensemble on and it looks really fantastic, although I am not sure if I purchased it where I would wear it. 2008-05-09 17:48:00 Balenciaga pink satin multicolor floral printed sandals It's been a while since I've seen Balenciaga shoes that weren't gladiator boots (and seen on Mary-Kate Olsen) or rather outrageous. These Balenciaga pink satin multicolor floral printed sandals definitely don't fit into the previous two categories but do go with Balenciaga's spring 2008 floral theme. Bright, colourful and complete with chunky heel, these shoes just seem to hark back to the 1990s, which is rather scary because I really hoped I would never see those kinds of shoes again. They're not a must-buy for me, but it could be interesting to see if anyone does wear them. Love them? They've been marked down from $725 to $580 at BlueFly.

The house of Balenciaga is a full force to be reckoned with as well. When I heard Jennifer was to be the Spring face of the brand I got giddy. And here they are. As expected, David Sims' photography is bold, simple and beautiful. There are no frills — just Jennifer and Balenciaga. A fine choice to showcase both of the extraordinary talents.
