Cam Cameron to Remain Baltimore Ravens OC
2012-02-02 13:53:00
They say if something isn?t broke, don?t fix it. This may have been the Baltimore Ravens philosophy when they decided to keep offensive coordinator (OC), Cam Cameron on their roster next season. Cameron, who just completed his 4th season with the team, was awarded a contract extension and will remain the OC. The Ravens reached (Read More...)
Not Easy to be a Baltimore Ravens Fan

In The Red Zone: Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots Preview ? AFC Cha
2012-01-20 14:57:00
This Week The New England Patriots host Baltimore Ravens at Gillette Stadium on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the AFC Conference Championship Game. The Patriots (14-3) are 8-1 at The Razor, 0-1 against the AFC North and 11-2 in the conference.  They are the AFC East Champions and the conferences top seed. The Ravens (13-4) are 4-4 on the road, 1-0 vs. the AFC East and 10-3 against the conference.  They are the AFC North Champions and the conferences 2nd seed. Alberto Riveron is the game referee; this is the 2nd Patriots game he has called this season.  He also called Week 16 vs. Miami. The Line/Prediction As of Thursday the line on the game from Yahoo! Sports has the Patriots at MINUS 7 1/2.  The OVER/UNDER is 50 1/2. My Prediction is Patriots 31, Ravens, 21.  Give the points (Patriots) and take the over.  I am 10-6-1 against the spread and 13 of 17 on calling the over/under in 2011. Tickets The Patriots are reporting the game as a sell out. It is the 193rd cons...

Baltimore Ravens to Face Patriots in AFC Championship Game

The Ravens successfully jumped all the hurdles to reach the AFC championship game by beating the Houston Texans in the divisional playoff game on Sunday. NFL Week 16 Preview: Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens (-13 ½)
2011-12-22 08:07:00
Online Betting Overview Cleveland starting quarterback Colt McCoy looks like he will not be playing in this game. The concussion he sustained against the Steelers in week 15 is still lingering. But that does not mean that all is lost for the Browns in this game. This is the same team that pulled off upset wins over the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots last season. It is true that former defensive coordinator Rob Ryan had a lot to do with those wins, but the point is that this team is capable of that. According to the price per head sports experts, the Browns are about as long of a shot as a team could be to win this game. But you should never count the Cleveland Browns out, and you should always take the points when the Browns play the Ravens. The Ravens have one of the best defensive units in the league. This defense may not be quite as dominating as the 2000 defense that won the Super Bowl, but it is very clo...

The Baltimore Ravens clinched a playoff spot for the 4th consecutive season before Sunday?s game against the San Diego Chargers. Monday Morning Thoughts
2009-01-12 15:25:00
While I must mention yesterday's Steelers game, I also have some thoughts on other topics below. After seeing every road team win during this playoff weekend, the Steelers looked really good Sunday afternoon in comparison. Willie Parker had his best game of the season running for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 181 yards and a touchdown, but more importantly, had no interceptions or fumbles and was only sacked once. Santonio Holmes had a huge punt return for a touchdown, and the Steelers defense did a great job shutting down Darren Sproles who was held to 15 yards rushing and 91 yards receiving, 62 of which came on a late touchdown when the game was out of reach.Next up is the Baltimore Ravens: Round 3. Remember how Baltimore Ravens fans complained after Santonio Holmes? catch was ruled a touchdown on December 14? Well, they?re still bitter. Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun wrote the following after Saturday's Ravens win, "These Ravens won with...

Steelers Win AFC North
2008-12-15 15:40:00
As a Steelers fan, it feels great seeing Pittsburgh win the AFC North and earn a first-round playoff bye at the expense of the Ravens, especially in Baltimore. Sunday?s game proves what I have been saying for years: contrary to what many Steelers fans believe, Pittsburgh?s biggest rival is clearly the Baltimore Ravens and not the Cleveland Browns. While it may be mean and a bit of schadenfreude, just looking at the picture below makes me, and I?m sure other Steelers fans, smile. The game itself lived up to the hype as both defenses dominated. Through the first 57 minutes, the Ravens outplayed the Steelers, particularly on special teams and in the defense?s ability to create turnovers. However, when the game was in question, the Steelers led by Ben Roethlisberger, Hines Ward and Nate Washington made big plays and the Ravens defense could not respond.Congratulations to the Steelers for winning the AFC North! The Baltimore Ravens Supporting The Orioles
2008-04-21 20:31:00
Steve McNair, former Ravens QB threw out the first pitch on Friday night, and on Sunday new coach John Harbaugh did the same, and Rex Ryan caught it.It goes without saying, two the big sports teams in the Baltimore area should be supporting one another. For most right now, the Ravens are number one in fans' hearts despite a lackluster season, and perhaps they might help to give the Orioles a little shot in the arm in terms of PR and just general support. The Birds are established enough to do it on their own, but the help of an NFL team could only help, not hurt the franchise.

5 Good Questions: Baltimore Ravens Edition
2007-12-14 20:29:00
It's time to once again hear from the opposition's point of view.  This week, Rexx from Baltimore Beatdown joins us to answer my Raven-related questions.  And as always, you can head on over to his site and see my responses to his Dolphin-related queries. I've been hearing that Brian Billick is likely to be back next season.  Is this accurate?  And if so, do you agree with the move to bring him back? Billick said he will be back earlier in the week and the owner, Steve Bisciotti confirmed it yesterday. Bisciotti said he doesn't hold Billick responsible, as he puts the blame on the overwhelming injuries and poor player performance (I thought the coach was responsible for this!). Unfortunately, Billick signed a four year $20 milllion extension after last season, and still has 3 years and $15 million left, so you can believe whatever reason you want. In my opinion, Billick has made so many poor calls in specific critical game conditions that I actually hold him ...

Thanks for a Reason to Care
2007-12-05 00:44:00
Last Monday's game between the Ravens and the Patriots was a great game. The Ravens did fall short (by about 2 yards) but they made me care. I'll be honest, aside from watching the Packers play every week I don't really care about the NFL regular season like I should. I just get sick of seeing the Patriots on every single Sunday and Monday night games, but if nothing else Monday's game made me care.I found myself sitting on my futon rooting for the Ravens to win. Which was weird because I thought that I didn't care. I realized that I don't really want the Patriots to go undefeated. I'm not sure why, but I just don't. However, I do really believe that they will go undefeated, although their best shot at a loss is going to be at home against the Steelers this weekend. As far as the game goes I admit, I only tuned in for the 4th quarter, but it was well worth my time. I was very impressed with Tom Brady. He was cool, calm, and collected and I really liked how he scrambled to pic...

This is your thread today, so have at it! Here's what you can expect to see in this game: Bills on Offense: Memo to SF-M - a conservative game plan is going to get your Bills blown out, Coach. Baltimore is going to stuff the run, come out with some elaborate blitz packages and try to make rookie QB Trent Edwards beat them. That means 4-5 yard dump-offs and nothing beyond 10 yards won't get the job done. However, since I'm a realist, I'm expecting to ...
Breaking Down the Baltimore Ravens
2007-10-19 02:53:00
Willis McGahee returns to Buffalo (ViewImages) For the better part of a decade, the Baltimore Ravens have had one of the best defenses, year in and year out, in the NFL. Led annually by middle linebacker Ray Lewis, the unit's heart and soul, Baltimore's defense remains as explosive as they were when they carried the franchise to a Super Bowl victory. But unlike that year's Ravens, this year's version - the version the Bills square up against in just three short days - are not indomitable. There are huge question marks on offense, where the Ravens are averaging just over 18 points per game. The biggest questions are at quarterback, where backup Kyle Boller has replaced injured starter Steve McNair. This is a team to be reckoned with, but keep one stat in mind: of the Ravens' four wins this season (they're 4-2), three of them have come in Baltimore. Offense: Relying on Willis... Sort Of Don't Sleep on Boller: While McNair steadfastly remains the team's starter, B...

Analysis of Baltimore Ravens/Cleveland Browns & Chicago Bears/Detroit L
2007-10-04 20:12:00
The analysis of last week's Baltimore Ravens / Cleveland Browns game and the Chicago Bears / Detroit Lions one are next-up in my extended answers to the questions I posed on Sunday. Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns (+4): My befuddlement over the line proved well-placed as the Browns handily won this game.  With QB Derek Anderson utilizing his offensive weapons, WR Braylon Edwards and TE Kellen Winslow, the Browns offense is too good to be home 'dogs to teams with lesser skills players. Fantasy implications: Receivers Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow are ready to be every-week starters at their respective positions. QB Derek Anderson at the top of the free agent pool QBs during the Bye Week Period.  After their bye?  Maybe not. Baltimore Defense?  Sell high if you can. Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (+3): The Bears have fallen.  Losing a high-scoring game to the Lions tells me the Super Bowl run ends at one.  QB Brian Griese did throw the ba...
