Many of you have probably noticed that I haven't been on the forum or commenting on the blog much this week. I am working on massively overhauling the style and file systems here at The Baptist Muse. The organization of this site is completing chaotic due to the fact that I really didn't know what I was doing when I got started. I am know trying to remedy that by revamping the theme and moving some files around. Starting tomorrow or Thursday, you will probably see some strange things here. It was during that time, that I received Christ as a young child at vacation Bible school at the First Baptist Church in Amboy, IL.I lived with my father only until I was thirteen because he was a very violent man. He was a very hard drinker and often succumbed to very violent fits of anger. He was abusive both mentally and physically. Bill and Brenda visited with the Clifford Baptist Church's congregation in the evening and I was able to get on the internet thanks to Ms. Walkem and her son. This dude gets asked the craziest questions. Apparently a baptist minister asked John McCain whether he called his first wife a c#nt? This isn't the first time that McCain has been asked wild questions like this. Right before the Iowa Caucuses a white haired woman asked McCain "What are you going to do about the bitch," meaning Hillary Clinton. I am not sure whether this baptist minister was a plant or not. But I have heard talk from some Democratic pundits who are thinking about potentially trying to make a big deal out of the fact that McCain's first marriage ended badly. I don't know how that's strategic, but I do think McCain does have some skeletons in his closet that Dems will try to expose. Sorry that I couldn't come up with a more uplifting or righteous blog today. I am traveling. Shouts out to folks in Southern California.

And the nominal ringleader (now that the founder, Rev. The cadence is not exactly King-like, but Barack Obama, on Dr. King's birthday, captures the essence of King in talking about the substance of hope in a speech that he gave in the pulpit of the Ebenezer Baptist Church: Martin Luther King's Church (both senior and junior). Ebenezer was Dr. King's church for most of his career as a Civil Rights leader.
