On Bill Clinton and Barack Obama
2008-06-30 20:25:00 This is my video blog on the need for Bill Clinton to be part of the Obama for America campaign effort. I feel that Obama can't win without President Clinton's support. But then the Clinton's have some image repair work to do and helping Barack's the best way to do it.
Barack Obama's Giving A Great Speech On Patriotism Now
2008-06-30 16:33:00 Senator Barack Obama's on CNN now this morning, giving a great and stemwinding speech on the meaning of Patriotism from Independence, Missouri, which includes this line: "Mark Twain said that Patriotism was being proud of your country all the time and your government, when it deserves it." My feelings, exactly. I think Republicans and fans of the current war and American aggression at home and abroad forget that. I don't have to support my government's decisions because it's part of America. I can question what my government does and still be a patriot. In fact, that's the real ideal of America. "True Patriotism," Obama said, "can not be forced or legislated."

Big bad Barack flinches
2008-06-26 01:31:00 -By Michael M. Bates Democrat Senator Joe Biden described Barack Obama last year: ?I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that?s a storybook, man.? Biden received justifiable grief for his artless observation. Nevertheless, the view that Obama is a smart, eloquent ...

Barack Obama Refused Public Financing For General Election
2008-06-19 14:16:00 This is one of the news items of the day. Senator Barack Obama has annouced today that he is not going to use taxpayer money to finance his campaign for President of the United States. To date, Senator Obama has raised more than $200 million in donations most smaller than $200 - unprecedented. Here's Senator Obama's message:
John McCain Upset With Barack Obama’s Decision To Save Taxpayers Tens
2008-06-19 13:47:00 The Nation’s First Panamanian-Born Presidential Candidate, Señor John McCain, Who Has Readily Chosen To Accept $84M (USD) Of Hard-Earned Taxpayer Dollars Is Miffed At Barry O-bomber’s Decision To Spend Private Donations Instead Eighty-four million dollars can feed and clothe a lot of hungry American children. Or, those funds, involuntarily hijacked from the paychecks of American workers to ram Barack Obama and John McCain’s mugs, words and pontifications down our throats for the next few months. Señor McCain has chosen to force me to pay for him to annoy the hell out of me for awhile; Barry has decided to spare me. Señor McCain’s not happy with Barry’s decision to leave tens of millions of our taxpayer dollars in the bank. But, HEY — this guy is suppose to be a “conservative”. RIGHT. Barack Obama: Typical Politician
2008-06-19 10:57:00 I can’t say I’m surprised. Presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama has opted out of the public campaign finance system. Not that I don’t support his decision to forego public funding of his campaign. I would rather presidential campaigns didn’t drink from the federal trough. What this does show is that despite his ...

Shocker: Barack Obama Steered Away From Photo-Op With Muslim Women
2008-06-18 19:09:00 Surprise, Surprise — Barack Obama Is Not Above Playing “Politics” In His Quest For The Oval Office Guess what, “offended” Righties this evening? EVERYBODY does it. That’s right, if it could cost votes, advisers are likely to rearrange the “background” and “foreground scenery” during a photo-op if it looks “good”. Apparently Barack’s campaign gurus thought it might not look too “appealing” to some voter-types to have a couple of Muslim women in garb body hugging and smooching on ole’ “Barry” in a photo-op. Or, SOMETHING to that effect. I might be mistaken on some of the details of the latest “Barack bru-haha” but you get the idea. What did I mean by “everybody does it”? Want a name? How about Bobby Jindal — governor of the Great State Of Louisiana and possibly — Señor Panama John McCain’s running mate on the Republican ticket. ...
Barack Obama's Leads John McCain In Virginia 47 % to 45 %
2008-06-18 15:46:00 According to Talking Points Memo, Senator Barack Obama's ahead of John McCain by 2 points as of this writing, 47 percent to 45 percent. Personally, I think this is too close for comfort and would be happier with a seven point poll spread. Obama still has work to do here. Either Webb or Clinton or Edwards as the VP choice would help. I still think it's going to be Clinton as the pick.
Al Gore's Speech Endorsing Senator Barack Obama For President
2008-06-16 23:53:00 Streaming Video by Ustream.TV Stating that this election is too important to do otherwise, Al Gore officially endorsed Senator Barack Obama in a rosing speech given at Cobo Hall in Detroit this evening. Jojned by Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and Senator Obama, Gore was litterally blasted into emotional orbit by the crowd's yelling of "Yes We Can" again and again. Gore said that elections matter, reminding the crowd of Florida just by using its name. The Nobel Prize Winner then talked to the crowd explaining the importance of solving the crisis of Global Warming. He compared our current crisis to that facing "The Greatest Generation" of men and women who served during World War II, saying "That?s what the Greatest Generation did to win World War II, and then came home to start the Marshall Plan, unify Europe, create the United Nations and create the basis for peace and prosperity for decades." The speech was stirring, to be sure. MSNBC explains the significance ...

AL GORE TO ENDORSE BARACK OBAMA TODAY
2008-06-16 14:42:00 The event that many have been waiting for has happened. On his blog, former Vice President and Nobel Prize winner Al Gore has annouced that he will back Senator Barack Obama for President. While some have complained about the timing of the event, saying it was about time, there's no question that it's an enormous development, which will start many thinking that Gore may be Obama's pick for Vice President. After all, remember the woman I talked to who was with the "Gore Obama" movement? In this video, I asked her about switching that to Obama / Gore. Now, she's got no real choice. Gore Asks Supporters To Contribute; So Do We This is what Gore wrote on his blog:A few hours from now I will step on stage in Detroit, Michigan to announce my support for Senator Barack Obama. From now through Election Day, I intend to do whatever I can to make sure he is elected President of the United States.Over the next four years, we are going to face many difficult challenges -- inclu...
Barack Obama's Father's Day Speech - Video and Text
2008-06-15 17:36:00 Remarks of Senator Barack Obama(As prepared for delivery)Apostolic Church of GodSunday, June 15th, 2009Chicago, ILGood morning. It?s good to be home on this Father?s Day with my girls, and it?s an honor to spend some time with all of you today in the house of our Lord. At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus closes by saying, ?Whoever hears these words of mine, and does them, shall be likened to a wise man who built his house upon a rock: the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded upon a rock.? [Matthew 7: 24-25]Here at Apostolic, you are blessed to worship in a house that has been founded on the rock of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. But it is also built on another rock, another foundation ? and that rock is Bishop Arthur Brazier. In forty-eight years, he has built this congregation from just a few hundred to more than 20,000 strong ? a congregation that, because of his leadership, has braved ...

2008-06-15 00:31:00 Barack Obama Promises To Bust A Cap In John McCain’s “Cracker Assed Cracker Butt” Should The Latter Choose To Select A Knife As His Choice Of Weapon In General Election Debates Once upon a time, a cute little bouncing baby boy was born in the sovereign nation of Panama. His parents named him “John”. We all know the rest of the story: he later migrated to the United States of America, joined the military, fought in the Vietnam War, heroically captured by the enemy, endured torture for years at their hands. Later, this great man relocated to the Great State of Arizona, and became the ONLY Panamanian-born U.S. Senator in the history of the USA. From there, Señor McCain’s lust for power led him to run for the presidency, despite questions of his eligibility due to the Constitutional MANDATE that ALL presidential candidates are “natural born Citizens” of the United States of America. “Panama John” wasn’t actually BO...

2008-06-08 23:34:00 (You get tomorrow's news today here at HP, so figured we'd skip forward a few months and just let you know how it's gonna be just a bit down the road...)______HP'ers, please join me in wishing President-elect Obama well after his landslide win tonight. Even though we may disagree with some of his policies, the nation has overwhelmingly voted for a change, and change we will now have. Also a big congratulations goes out to the voters for putting the past awful eight years and The Worst President Ever behind us, allowing for a re-introduction of the American brand to the world. These are exciting and historic days for our nation, but oh, what a mess Obama and the overwhelmingly Democratic-controlled Congress will have on their hands. Let's see if they're up to the task. And hey, they can't possibly screw it up worse than the Republicans did. Right?

Barack Obama's Secret Girlfriend
2008-06-08 23:06:00 New Scandal Rocks Barack Obama's Campaign Barack Obama today neither confirmed or denied that he is madly in love with Alexis Bledel."I think everybody in America is in love with Alexis," Barack said to students in North Carolina, "But the idea that just because I own every season of Gilmore Girls, and only make love to Michelle when Alexis's face is freeze framed, well the idea that that makes me in love with her, is absurd." Michelle Obama has lived with this for years, and has privately admitted that Barack's problem began when the movie Tuck Everlasting came out. "He likes to call it, well you can guess, everlasting," Michelle told a close friend. The Clinton campaign has always hinted that Barack might go after white girls once he is President, and they used this latest scandal to reintroduce the idea. "We all know that his father liked little white girls," Hillary Clinton sai...

My Dream Ticket: Barack Obama & Caroline Kennedy
2008-06-07 23:40:00 by Linda Milazzo For nearly her entire 51 years, Caroline Kennedy has been part of the socio-political fabric of this nation. She first captivated America as the tiny daughter of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. She was the delightful little blonde atop her pony Macaroni, and the adoring older sister to precocious brother, John. Caroline Kennedy, throughout her life, has been unceasingly gracious - taking a willing back seat to brother John and mother Jackie - America's perennial Prince and First Lady. And while John Jr. and Jackie were attracting the paparazzi, Caroline was quietly achieving. She graduated from Radcliffe College/Harvard University and Columbia Law School and took the New York and DC bars. While John and Jackie's every move was scrutinized, Caroline created a lower-profile, but highly productive life. She married Ed Schlossberg, had three children, and continued to work supporting and promoting social causes, overseeing foundations and editing and writing boo...

The dueling senators, who had been civil, if chilly, to each other for the past 17 months, surprised their aides and the Washington press by pulling off a closed-door talk at California Senator Dianne Feinstein's Washington-area home hours after Clinton had attempted to downplay talk of a Democratic "dream team" ticket.
