Borders has been redesigning, closing stores, and creating its own online e-commerce site as opposed to relying on Amazon in hopes to increase its earnings. Barnes & Nobles is looking at acquiring the company; however, it may be waiting until an actual Borders bankruptcy occurs in order to strike a better deal.
