2007-06-18 17:58:00 In a story that continues to develop, Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Barnett was arrested after allegedly being involved in a physical altercation at an Appleton nightclub called WET.Barnett was taken to Outagamie County jail late Saturday night/early Sunday morning around 2 a.m. and released on a $500 bond.All that is known is that police responded to a distubance that night. Little else is known. Neither Appleton police nor the Green Bay Packer organization have commented furthur on the situation.Barnett appeared at Sunday's Brett Favre Celebrity Softball Game, but did not play and was not available for comment.This is troubling news for the Packers who recently gave Barnett a nice contract extension with a considerable pay raise.The NFL has recently been cracking down on player conduct with high profile players such as Pacman Jones and Tank Johnson recently being suspended by the NFL.
