Bboy Documentary Cites Koreans as Untouchable
2008-05-12 16:19:00 Bboying was what made me realize that Korean was not just another word for “people with sexy eyes,” but an entire race. One of the under-appreciated parts of Hallyu is Korea’s influence and takeover of the breakdancing phenomenon that originated in the Bronx. A new video documentary, Planet B-Boy, has a few parts dedicated to Korean bboys’ influence to the dance, the demographic of Korean bboys, and even Korea’s perception of bboys. 2008-01-25 12:50:00 Da haben einige Breakdancer ein ehrgeiziges Projekt gestartet und sind dabei über den Break Dance eine Dokumentation zu drehen. Dafür wurden 5 Break Dance Gruppen aus unterschiedlichen Teilen des Globuses gefilmt. "PLANET B-BOY wirft dazu einen Blick in die internationale Untergrund B-Boy Szene in Japan, Frankreich, Sud Korea und den Vereinigten Staaten, und dokumentiert, wie sich die einzelnen Teams auf das Event ihres Lebens vorbereiten: The Battle of the Year in Deutschland, dem ältesten und größten B-Boy Event auf der Welt. Achtzehn Nationen schicken ihre besten Manschaften um am "World Cup of b-boying" teil zu nehmen." Ja warum zum Henker weiß ich denn überhaupt nicht darüber, dass in Deutschland dieser größte Breakdance Wettbewerb stattfindet?
