So it's no suprise that the official movie website for Be Kind Rewind is not only fun, but a bit weird! When you enter the website, after a few seconds, a screen pops up saying "the internet is being erased" and the entire screen begins to dissolve as the system shuts down and the internet is "erased". When it's done, a white screen with what looks like a real Windows button appears, asking if you want to rebuild the internet. 2008-01-04 00:34:00 Release Date Changes: Be Kind Rewind, 27 Dresses, Inkheart 20th Century Fox has announced that they are moving the Katherine Heigl romantic comedy 27 Dresses back a week from January 11th to 1-18-08. So now 27 Dresses is set to go head to head with Cloverfield. I'm guessing that Fox wants to take advantage of the 4-day Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday weekend. New Line has announced that they have canceled the March 19th release of the Brendan Fraser family adventure film Inkheart. The studio is looking for a better date for the film, which will hit theaters in 2008. The trailer for this film looks horrendous, even with the recent string of bad family fantasy films. Meanwhile, the Michel Gondry comedy Be Kind Rewind, which will premiere later this month at Sundance, has been pushed back a month for a February 22nd 2008 release. I've seen this movie and LOVED IT. He's taking over New York's Deitch Projects and turning the gallery into a "Sweeding movie studio” (I don't know what that means either) from January 24th to March 1st.Gondry told the LATimes:Groups of people walk in and will have access to a workshop. There is a very simple protocol: You shoot in camera, edit while you shoot — which means you stop the camera when you want to go to the next scene, you don’t edit. Story lines last five to 10 minutes. And most of the exhibition will be a mini back lot with 15 little sets. In two hours, you can walk in, create a story, shoot a movie, watch it in the screening movie. Then you leave and take a copy.
