Make no mistake ladies and gentlemen... this was a good old fashioned beat down. Mitt Romney... who spent the equivalent of the GDP of some small countries in Iowa took second. Not only did he take second, but he lost by NINE points. He was almost closer to third place than he was to first. This was a man who's entire strategy was to win early and build momentum. Now his only strategy may be to spend his entire personal fortune trying to win New Hampshire. Hillary Clinton... who supposedly was the inevitable candidate and once led 13 straight polls in Iowa will take third place. She will lose to Barack Obama by at least EIGHT points. While the networks are trying to spin this as a "tie for second" the reality is that she will take third and she wasn't even close to winning. So who wins? Huckabee certainly had a fine showing, but I think on the GOP side the person who is most happy with the results must be John McCain who will now look like the favorite in New Hampshire. A win ...
