Omar tells us that the offense is beginning to kick into gear as more and more of the offense gets installed. And he tells us that both quarterbacks, Josh McCown and John Beck, looked sharp today. He also says that if he was forced to choose, he would "begrudgingly" say Beck looked best. Why "begrudgingly"? In my view, it's probably because Omar has been against Beck for some time now. He wanted the Dolphins to take Brady Quinn in 2007 and he was praying to god for Joe Flacco to fall to Miami back in April. He was also a big Cleo Lemon supporter. I covered Jeff Beck’s guitar work, albeit briefly, but not the intriguing blend of styles from the man who just goes by Beck. I’ve been listening to a fair amount of his music recently anyways, and so it seemed time to at the very least touch on his work and in particular, one of the reasons I like it. If you grew up around the same time I did, then you’re instantly familiar with some Beck songs. I remember when songs like âLoserâ and âDevil’s Haircutâ debuted and just being drawn in by the blending of urban beats, wordplay, artsy folk, electronica and a thousand other styles to create something completely unique. John Beck vs Josh McCown
2008-03-05 06:03:00 What I wanted to do was to just take a look back at Josh McCown's 2007 season in Oakland. But I figured I needed to provide some kind of baseline to measure his performance. That's why John Beck's numbers are also included. So the idea here is to get to know Josh McCown a little better. Yes, we all know it's believed McCown will not be starting, per Chris Mortensen's report a few days ago that McCown was brought in to be the #2 quarterback. But we still need to get to know him, right? McCown, who will be 29 by the time the regular season rolls around, is 2 years older than Beck and has 5 more seasons under his belt than John does. As far as physical tools go, McCown has them am except for accuracy. He's got a big-time arm and can make all the throws an NFL quarterback has to. 2008-02-24 22:27:00 A very profound understatement, via Noel Sheppard, News Busters: “It is clear that a termination can have a profound effect on a woman’s life.” Telegraph(UK) An artist killed herself after aborting her twins when she was eight weeks pregnant, leaving a note saying: “I should never have had an abortion. I see now I would have been a good mum.” Emma Beck was found hanging at her home in Helston, Cornwall, on Feb 1 2007. She was declared dead early the following day - her 31st birthday. Her suicide note read: “I told everyone I didn’t want to do it, even at the hospital. I was frightened, now it is too late. I died when my babies died. I want to be with my babies: they need me, no-one else does.” Emma Clark needed support, better a husband.  She got neither, Instead she got an abortion.    Shame on the boy friend who fathered two babiies, he was not willing to support.
